As usual, broadcasts will always be rated as better shows than non-broadcasts. Just look at the top-10 of bootlegs, rest my case

But I like this show, also because it is a broadcast but also because of the Rain, the George Harrison-thing. Great bootleg.
Remember King Solomon, Jeremy.
I know you're not a fan of their recent stuff, but...10 years is a pretty big chunk of their career. No South Bend Elevation? No NYC post-9/11? No 5th leg Vertigo?
Along with ric,and thousands of others. The days leading up to the show, press speculation was rife that this was their last tour, because it was costing a lot of money to stage plus George Harrison slagging them off saying they were a load of crap etc I think the following few performances was the 2 fingers up to everyone. U2 were awesome at Leeds, possibly 2nd best I've seen 'em behind ZOO TV Wembley 12th August 1993.Nothing can compare to a ZOO TV show for me.........possibly the conditions make the legend too.I know it rained at a few of the European shows of PopMart, but I'd never seen rain like this before. You could see the black clouds coming in the distance while lining up to get in,hoping it would pass, not a chance !! CAST got absolutley feckin drenched during their support, best support act I've seen.U2 come on,not a drop, nothing.Hence Bono saying before One....."...so it didn't really rain at all did it ?"........that's just a bit of background, but I think the band were really tight that night.Great show, possibly doesn't make for the greatness your looking for Gerard, but for those who were there.............
