I always treat the concept of double albums with some degree of trepidation. They're never quality all the way through IMO. I prefer the idea of a quick follow-up LP while on tour ala Zooropa!
  2. I read somewhere that some people think it's due to internal strife between bandmembers / Lanois / Eno / McGuinness. Anyone have any ACTUAL info on whether or not this could be true?

That would be great. Not sure if it's feasible, but from a fan's perspective, would be awesome. Especially if they pull another mega tour a la ZooTV

I guess it's yet another untested rumour. With Eno's stubborness, that could well be true. Let's not forget the "Streets" incident during JT recording.
  5. @U2 posted some things from this summer where Lanois reported the album was finished and also the band reportedly was having a big dinner bash in Dublin to celebrate the album being done, I had forgotten about this and that just leads to further questions. Like what was said earlier, shooting a video and still writing doesn't make much sense. So I'm now in the camp that hopes they aren't tinkering away at it too much like HTDAAB

    We'll actually:
October 7, 2007: According to Zootopia.de, U2 are working on two separate album projects at the moment. They quote Four5One design guru Steve Averill, who spoke last night at "Music Ireland" in Dublin, telling fans one album is a Passengers-like project with Brian Eno and Dan Lanois, and the other is a proper U2 album.

Well, quite a bit has happened in the year since that quote...I wouldn't put too much stock in that.
  9. 3-5 nights at Croke Park confirmed for this summer according to the Irish press.

  10. Not bad, if it's true...

    And please, not a double...
