1. One can find Danelectro DAN ECHO delays on ebay for a fair rate. It isn't a MINI. It is built like a tank. And it's a might fine sounding analog delay/echo.

Do I have one? Yep. Try one. They are a decent option.
  2. Since I like the PB&J mini delay so much I always wanted to try a DanEcho. But there are so many things I want to try some day...

Big on my wish list: Boss RC2 Loop Station with additional FS5 foot switch.

This is where eBAY and used guitar shops can come in handy. One can find effects for a cheaper rate and not break the bank

I got my Boss PW-2, Edge used one on the last tour, for $35-45 on eBay. Not a horrible price when you know that the PW-2 was made for like... 4 minutes in 1997. (In production for about 5 mos or so, actually).

So read up on some delays on Harmony Central and look at eBay and used shops, would be my advice for those 'in the market' for a delay and unsure what to get.

And just try various ones at your local shop too... doesn't mean you have to pay full price and buy it there and then... but you can see what you like and then find a used one.

    Good day and good tone!

    =O)
  4. Hey, guitar mates, does anybody have a decent chords tab for ''40''?? I want to play it on my spanish guitar and sing along, but I don't find any suitable chords for it... Thanks!

PS. I don't want the E, A, E, A tab... It doesnt' sound right IME (In My Ears)

Probably 'cause it's in A lol...if you want to play chords, it's just A and D all the way through
similar to Bad (or Ab and Db if you're tuned down half a step), but it's a use of different notes in the key. If it's actual notes rather than chords that you're after, erm...no idea lol.

Damn played with D, A, D, A it sounds much better xDDD I'm playing it right now and sounds OK. Thanks!
  7. BASS-TASTIC !!

Here's more of the studio footage of Adam with his 1960's era burgundy mist (finish) Fender Jazz bass. First clip he's got some SERIOUS fuzz bass going on. Seriously!

Here's a bit more of Adam with said bass, and then outside with the fans.

Good to see that Adam still have love for his Fender Jazz bass guitars. Laklands are great. But it does seem that he favors the Fender Jazz and Precisions - and his GIbson LP recording bass -- for use for recordings.

Looks like a black and white (judging by the black and white photo) Fender Precision being used in Fez, Morocco last year.

Is that a bottle of Scotch in the background? Hahahaha...

  8. Lest we forget an Elevation and HTDAAB era Ashdown advert.

(The pic is from Elevation tour but used for ads from 2001-2006)

  9. GIVE THE DRUMMER SOME? After all... it IS all about the drums!

    http://media.u2.com/flash/highlights/larrydrumming_april08.swf

Interesting bit about this video is that Larry is playing Zildjian (brand) and not Paiste (brand) cymbals. He's been a Paiste endorser for most of his career. Wonder if Zildjian sent some over to try to win over Larry as an endorser?
  10. AN EXPLORER DUBH !!!

    http://media.u2.com/flash/highlights/enogels.swf

Check the above video link. You will see a black Gibson Explorer about 4 seconds in. Perhaps this is what Edge got to replace the auctioned Explorer? Interested in what he's using it for and if he will play it on the tour.

  11. Good spot Jeff, thanks for the link! Looks interesting, but who knows - maybe he's going a bit gothic as he approaches the big Five Oh

On another note, I was interested to note that, whilst watching the Eze version of Beautiful Day (video), Edge was playing one of his '83 Goldtops as opposed to the Explorer, and Bonowas playing a Gretsch - just made me wonder whether those were what they actually used to record the song? Wonders...

Yep, Edge has the 30th Anniv. Goldtop in that video and Bono with his 1959 Gretsch Country Club.

Seems Bono's retired the Gretsch Country Club since taking delivery of the Irish Falcon's. Legend has it, that the 1959 cadillac green Country Club was bought from one Bruce Springsteen. (I've not been able to confirm that but it is on my ever-growing list.)
