    Indeed
Especially that awful Jump though it's funny to see other people "jumping"
But Hiphop can be cool sometimes
  2. I heard 'Miracle Drug' in a pub 2 days ago. Lovely surprise and quite amazing since it wasn't released as a single. I was in the same pub 2 weeks ago and they played 2 U2-songs in about an hour and a half (New Year's Day and Walk On), I think the pubowner is a U2-fan

Yeah, also the owner of my favourite pub here is a fan of U2. But this is not a great surprise if you think that the pub is named "Irish Pub"...
Anyway I could listen to an entire U2 CD (a self-made compilation) twice in that pub. That was really great, because here where I live U2 are not "daily bread" at all, so outside my home I cannot be in contact with them and their music, except for some rare appearences on the radio...

Och, how sad you almost never get to here U2 except at home. Maybe you should consider moving Although, you live in the Soccer World Champion's country so moving to my country would be a step downwards footballwise . U2's pretty popular in Belgium though, they get airtime on all the radiostations .

Except for the commercial HipHop, some HipHop isn't bad. Some of those guys make lyrics which are really impressive.

That's true, but there aren't as many fans here, i think you can admit that...
When i looked at a U2-site for example, i couldn't find a Belgian one (well yeah one but the last post there was before the concert in Brussels :p )
+ I just can't find merchandising of U2 in Belgium

Yeah like 50cent, he thinks he's everything but he has to pay for women that want to play in his clips
The Game is alright, and sometimes Eminem, when he started he had some great lyrics about his life for example

Thanks for the suggestion, but I love Italy, even if we weren't the Soccer World Champions. Moreover it's not a problem of Italy, but of the place where I live. In my little town it's impossible even only to image a U2 concert, and the nearest city where they could make a concert is Rome (about 3 hours by car).
As I can't move to another place even remaining in Italy, I can only hope that next tour they will make a date in Rome, unless I will miss my first U2 show also in the next tour...

I went all the way to Paris to see them live (a 4 hour drive) cos I couldn't get tickets anymore for their gig in Brussels. You're right about Italy, great country and beautiful language. I'm learning Italian at the moment but it's just basic stuff like buon giorno, com estai? ecoo un signore, c'è lo zio del ragazzo and stuff like that Gotta start somewhere, right?!

There aren't that many die-hard fans I think (don't know how else to call us ) but a lot of belgian people like U2. My friends often make fun of me cos I sing along, know the lyrics and stuff like that but they all admit liking them too and a lot of them have (selfmade) CD's with U2-songs on it. You're right about the Belgian sites though, can't find an up-to-date belgian fansite. I'd make one, if I knew anything about webdesign and had the time for it By the way: there should indeed be more cool merchandising over here! Maybe you can open a store

WOW! It's great to know that a person from Belgium is learning Italian! This is among the THINGS that just unexpectedly appear...
Don't get offended if I tell you your very little mistakes: "buon giorno" is better "buongiorno"; "com estai?" actually is "come stai?"; "ecoo un signore" actually is "ecco un signore".

So good luck with your learning of Italian. I hope you will learn it very well, 'cause they say (and I agree) that Italian is a beautiful lenguage.

Yeah, sometimes..for me, there always will be a number one, and that's U2. And I think we all have the same number 1 And An, welcome to the forum!
