Actually its a pretty funny movie. I saw it as an obligation many years ago and was pleasantly surprised. On the downside it is a cruel reminder of how cute Meg Ryan used be before plastic surgery ruined her.

Well, I watched it and was pleasantly surprised. I wouldn't have watched it otherwise, and although I don't see myself watching it again, I'm glad I did. As for how Meg Ryan USED to look, your sentiments are bang on. She was lovely...
  3. bought Batman Begins on blu-ray. Never knew so but it has the whole opening scene from The Dark Knight on there as a special feature. In full HD. Brilliant

Along the same lines, the wife forced Sex and the City on me. Boy I hated it like I have hated few movies lately. I actually enjoyed the TV show, to a point. But the movie had none of what I liked about the show. Mainly it was not funny. The writing was so bad, I was wondering if some lucky fan won a fan fiction contest. Oh and two and half hours is way to long of an adaptation of a half hour sitcom.

I'd have to have a gun to my head to make me watch that movie. I can say now that I will NEVER watch it. Ever. School dictates that it's Shakespeare In Love tomorrow night, but I like that one, even though Gwyneth stole Cate Blanchett's Oscar...
  6. Saw The Dark Knight. This has probably been posted and discussed but wow, what a fantastic movie!

  7. Just watched that one last night . Good movie ,surprised me. Bring on "The Avengers"
  8. Dangerous Minds
  9. Black Hawk Down - kind of foul propaganda, but bloody HELL, it's well made. Ridley Scott may be the best LIVING director to not yet get an Oscar. Kubrick, alas, is dead...

    Good film, definitely

Just to take the current list down a notch, 15 of us crammed into one room to watch Finding Nemo the other day in our halls - you've never seen so many teenagers get emotional over an animation (unless it had been the Lion King...) lol...
