Sure they're collectors items but you're not really unique with something like that. Why not release U23D audio, something that anyone couldn't have and something you really enjoy listening.

U2.com has a fanclub, with die-hard fans, die-hard fans already have made rips from DVD's. They should give them something to be proud of.

(or maybe they will do it anyway, and is Wikipedia wrong, as often)

Same for me, like having it, but never opened any of my fanclub releases except for U2.communication which has a nice Vertigo video performance from Milan on board which has never seen the daylight ever since.

    Which would be...?

  4. anything we don't have, can't get ourselves or haven't already paid for would suffice

  5. U2 has such a huge archive of video and audio recordings, with hundreds of shows.. They can release a lot of things I would love to get my hands on

    Which would be?

  7. For instance a great quality recording of a bootleg that isn't available here, from any tour. Or a video from a Vertigo show in Amsterdam, which I attended

That would mean that the show was HQ filmed, though... And considering that the few shows (post 1984) that aren't documented on bootlegs are more or less random gigs, I wouldn't be too happy with a random show for 40 bucks.

I don't say, that there couldn't be better things to offer than the releases of the last years. Just trying to show how hard it is to find something that can be offered and would please the majority.
  9. Any audio recording would do. Just not a dvd rip

What's wrong with U23D's audio for this year? I believe it would definitely satisfy the majority...they could even make a CD with the audio and two clips from the film, maybe the fly and wowy...or whatever!
  11. I thought U23D was a cert. Although Red Rocks audio is likely we cant take wiki as fact.
  12. The 3d audio would be wasted on cd though and theres no point in compressed 2d clips
