1. So every year the grade 12 drama class does a presentation, this big thing, skits, freeze frames, poems, all that in a big assembly for the school for remembrance day. My drama teacher happens to love U2, she was in grade 9 when War came out, and she listened to it every day blah blah.

So basically, we both agreed, that because there's a hardcore U2 fan in her grade 12 drama class this year (moi) and she's a big U2 fan. There has to be a U2 song in the presentation this year. So, I need to have a CD made up of all slow U2 songs that can be in this presentation by tomorrow, and I need some help of what songs to choose!

So far I have songs picked out like, The Ocean, October, Tomorrow, Drowning Man, 40, MLK, 4th of July, Bullet The Blue SKy (not slow, but war-like) RTSS, Mothers, Wake Up Dead Man, Peace On Earth.

That's all i can think of at the moment.

    HELP!
  2. I'm a middle school teacher (and a obviously a huge fan as well) so I appreciate your efforts to put this together! I would love for my students to do something like this...

Red Hill Mining Town... it's slow but powerful
    Stay (Faraway, So Close)
    One
Yahweh... the acoustic live version from Vertigo Tour
    Promenade
New Year's Day (US Remix)... the piano intro is sublime, even though it kicks in strong

Those are all good choices, me thinks! ¡Buena suerte con la presentación!
  3. Boy: Twilight, Into The Heart, An Cat Dubh, The Ocean

    October: Tomorrow, October

    War: Drowning Man, ''40''

The Unforgettable Fire: Pride, The Unforgettable Fire, Promenade, 4th of July, Bad, Elvis Presley and America, MLK

The Joshua Tree: I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, With or Without You, Red Hill Mining Town, One Tree Hill, Mothers of the Disappeared

Rattle and Hum: Angel of Harlem, Love Rescue Me, Heartland, All I Want Is You

Achtung Baby: One, So Cruel, Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses, Tryin' To Throw Your Arms Around The World, Ultra Violet (Light My Way), Acrobat, Love Is Blindness

Zooropa: Zooropa, Babyface, Stay, The First Time, The Wanderer

Passengers: Miss Sarajevo, Your Blue Room

Pop: If God Will Send His Angels, If God Will Send His Angels, Gone, The Playboy Mansion, If You Wear That Velvet Dress, Please, Wake Up Dead Man

All That You Can't Leave Behind: Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of, Walk On, Kite, In A Little While, Wild Honey, When I Look At The World, New York, Grace, The Ground Beneath Her Feet

How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb: Miracle Drug, Sometimes You Can't Make It On Your Own, A Man and A Woman, Crumbs From Your Table, One Step Closer, Original of the Species, Yahweh

Unreleased and Rare: Smile, Levitate, Stateless, Beautiful Ghost

B-Sides, Best of 1980-2000: Always, Deep In The Heart, Electrical Storm, North and South of the River, Slow Dancing, Walk To The Water, Window In The Skies, Unchained Melody, Two Shots of Happy, One Shot of Sad, Neon Lights, The Sweetest Thing

Remasters: Angels Too Tied To The Ground, The Hands That Built America, Wave of Sorrow

    Hope that helps you out!
  4. Miss Sarajevo with the big man would be great! Lucy bastard my school only cares about rap and hip hop and rihanna. I I Still havent found??? One Tree Hill!??? Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses. THINGS TO MAKE AND DO INSTRUMENTAL WOULD BE EPIC!!! Good luck
  5. I know it's not slow but...it fits

    Walk On

Either that or Edge singing SBS
  6. One Step Closer, the aforementioned Promenade...looks like the others have made great suggestions already good luck!
  7. Your teacher's lucky to have a fan in the class! I'm a drama teacher and my students just laugh at me when I suggest using a U2 song in a show - except when we used MLK in Romeo and Juliet

Let us know what you/she pick(s).

I wondered how long it would take you to show up in this topic....
  9. Don't forget Yahweh!!
  10. And maybe Smile?
  11. Damn you guys mentioned so many good ones! I got most of the ones mentioned here. But SBS from popmart and Miss Sarjevo would have been good ones. Damn it I'm mad I didn't get those ones. I have a feeling we'll either use Tomorrow, October, RTSS, Wake Up Dead Man (but we probably won't because Bono says the F word) or Wave of Sorrow which I also put on the CD. So yea, hopefully 1 U2 song gets in the show!

By the way, does anyone have or know of a version of Wake Up Dead Man with good sound quality but without the F word in it?
