I can't accept the fact that these are much more expensive here in Europe, they only cost half as much in the USA (109USD compared to 159EUR). But US dealers don't send them to Europe... not even Amazon.com does.

I think I'm gonna order the Behringer Verbzilla Clone (RV600 Reverb Machine) instead. It's got some good reviews and it only costs 49EUR.

Sounds like a good plan. That's interesting how they're more in Europe. Behringer are usually perfect, a lot of people think they're really cheap crappy knock offs because of the price, but i've found they're pretty damn good for their price. (kinda like GFS pickups)

  2. That's right. I've already got a Dano Corned Beef mini reverb that I only rarely use with a few clean Tuna Melt tremolo sounds, and this is absolutely sufficient for me. I don't need additional reverberation. But the mentioned "shimmer" effect is a must- have to me, something completely different. And it seems that the only affordable "shimmer" in Europe is the "Space modus" of the Behringer Reverb Machine.

I'll give a short review in a few days. But I'm quite confident it will be fine. On the Verbzilla I even found a sweet spot for bass guitar.

BTW, are there any opinions on the Behringer BSY-600 Bass Synth pedal? For 39 EUR it seems like a steal to me.

I don't have a lot of experience with bass synth pedals, but once I wanted to get the one from Boss, and I heard some quite cool samples...but it was incredble expensive too.

That's right. I was asking because the Behringer is said to be a Boss clone and I thought maybe someone can compare it to the real thing. Well, most likely it's close enough except for the plastic case - but I'm quite confident it won't break when I step on it.

Isn't there a store where you can try both?

  6. The big store in Frankfurt doesn't sell Behringer.

Maybe I'll just order one online next month and send it back if I don't like it.

I just received the RV-600. Sounds identical to the Verbzilla to my ears. I'll keep it and gig with it on Saturday. If it doesn't break I can recommend it.

  7. I forgot what that thread was called for covers, so I'll just post it in this topic.

Couple new videos using my new Gibson Explorer. Tell me what you guys think about the pickups and the sound and stuff. Thanks!

  8. Sounds like you have a lot of fun.

Honestly: The youtube sound quality isn't good enough to give a detailed review. But on the vid it sounds like Edge. Surely close enough for 99.9% of all listeners. What kind of delay do you use?

Thanks man! I agree about the youtube sound quality, but it didn't turn out too bad.

I'm using a modulated delay (not too modulated, as you can tell) from the DD-20. Great delay unit, it's been spoken about here before.

  10. I'll have to check out the clips when I get home from work. Congrats again on your Explorer. Nice guitar, isn't it?

Gig went great. Only thing that broke was the power supply for my delay pedal
Did the rest of the gig on batteries... and the RV600 will be a permanent part of my rig.

If you have the $$$ and patience batteries are better, as they are much quieter.
