1. All my best wishes to Matt and the best of lucks!!!
    the book looks very promising!!
  2. Some one who doesnt know the band is making money of the band by writing a book. I see this as no different than someone selling bootlegs. I wont buy it, but to each their own.....

  3. "At The End Of The World" is a fantastic book. It is like being a fly on the wall - to some extent - during the AB Sessions through to the end of the Zoo tours. Pretty great book.

    For photos, Anton Corbijn's "u2 & i" is great.

And I am a big fan of "U2 by U2". I think it's got some new stories we'd not heard previously. It's got some great photos... But I hear some aren't fond of it. Although, I can't see why.

As for Matt's book... maybe it will be good. One might have a look at it before judging it?

Do you know the doesn't know the band? Maybe he does and maybe he doesn't.

I respectfully disagree that it is 'no different than someone selling bootlegs'.

But I guess we can agree to disagree?
  5. I buy it today, I will have in my own hands in two weeks, this time, I will know this real interest..
and I want to say one more thing, U2 Live by Pimm is an awesome book, a bible..
    bye friends
  6. I've been looking forward to this book for a while. Can't wait to get it

How so? Money is made for him for the most part because of U2's sucess.....

I was on the @u2.com forum for a long time and he said he had only met the band once or twice as a fan......

    true.

Matt McGee is a great guy. Lots of unofficial books exist....I don't think U2 Live is technically official, but I know it has Willie Williams' blessing, which might as well be the band's blessing. A Diary is in timeline format and I can't wait to get it!

i'm sure he is, but Willie Williams blessing is not the same as the bands. And yeah there are lots of unofficial books, just like there are lots of bootlegs being sold. I remember there was an unofficial book written by a friend of the band - mentioned in U2 at the end of the world - and the author was more or less blacklisted for a while.

Bottom line - I would rather my money go to the band.
  11. I wonder why you still visit this site, then. Via google ads, there's money made of the band here, too.
