Really? Damn! I didn't know that. I think we should all put our money together from our piggy banks and pay that TV station to give us that footage!!! Man that would be so cool to have that show. The only full well-done tours we are missing are Boy, October, UF, and Lovetown. They could easily put October and Boy out on the same DVD. Just release the San Francisco show or something. UF is dortmund, and Lovetown is Sydney, or better yet, the new years eve show! MAN THAT WOULD BE SO DAMN COOL!!!!

  2. Someone on here had something about it ages ago. It may even be a partial recording.

Another thing: wasn't part of U23D using shots from Melbourne? That's another thing that made me write that comment.

A great thing would be if U2 did a Visionary set, like Sony do for some artists. Release 24 DVDs over 24 months - new stuff, not old or remastered - with an audio CD to compliment the DVD releases, and get the fans opinions on what shows to release from the vault. All pro-shots, and you can pick and choose what shows you'd like to buy. If need be, even do distribution through U2.com as well as store distribution. Something for Live Nation to consider...it'd be a big project - no bigger than U2:3D, but the best of its kind.

They could start with the Boy San Fransisco show, release three DVDs for each tour, and end at Vertigo Dublin. Keep the fans interested during the tour and even afterwards. They did the first digital box-set with those live shows and unreleased stuff, now do it for videos.
  3. Dortmind definitely exists in its entirety. I read somewhere a while back that the station was looking 3-5 grand for the missing tracks. Thats pricey.

500€ - at least that was the sum I was asked by the contact I had in 2001. So I said, No thanks.
Official position of German TV channel ZDF right now is that they don't have the complete version in their archives.

S00? Surprised Mike didnt buy it.
  6. doesn't seem much really...

i seem to remember the Melbourne and Sydney 06 clips appearing on youtube in proshot form a while back, just the first 3 songs... there was a discussion about whether or not they were press pit/first 3 songs leaks. The footage was shot from the mixing desk on zoom, and the audio was soundboard feed.

Proshot Kite would make me very happy!

That Kite version is a bit overrated. Edge's solo is great but Bono is not 100% on his lyrics there.
  8. have to agree to disagree then, i think the arrangement and vocals are spot-on!
  9. Don't know if its been mentioned yet, but wasn't one of the rosemont horizon shows filmed? Or was it a different show? I can't remember and I'm too lazy to check. But I remember footage from the Making of the Joshua Tree dvd, where it shows them kicking into streets, then it shows Bono talking about the whole time magazine thing at the beginning of ISHFWILF. Then I think there's more on the new JT dvd (anniversary) when it shows them getting a photo taken at the same concert or something. Could've been a different one, but I think one of those rosemont shows was taped.

    EDIT:
Here's what I'm talking about. Skip to about 3:35 in this video, and THAT'S the video I mean.

Go Home: Live From Slane Castle
    Elevation 2001: Live From Boston

    lol...
  11. I was at the Charlote N.C. show in December of 2005 and ESPN filmed the entire show for World Cup. That would be a great show to have. They played Gloria and they were tight and right on. I was at the rail in front of Edge and watched them film with mutiple cameras on stage and from the side the whole show. Im pretty sure they even told in a press release that Espn was filming.

The time magazine thing was not unique in Rosemont. The video you linked to is labeled as May 4th. Don't know if that's true, but it's 100% not from Rosemont's 1st leg show.

Are you sure they filmed the whole thing and not only 11 songs?
