1. Well, he's sure that the cameras were there and he assures they were filming, but how can anybody know for how long they recorded the show? Cameramen doesn't show a banner saying "I'm filming now" and another saying "Now I'm not filming".

  2. Simple: cameramen can be on the cameras, move them, etc.... - or they can lean back, watch the show, point the objective down, pack their things...
  3. What about Croke 87? Did the Granada guys only film the select songs for World In Action or did they film the whole thing and just take their pick of the footage?

Oh well I can be moving a camera, pointing at Bono, etc. and NOT be recording... Who knows?

Are you sure they filmed the whole thing and not only 11 songs?

they filmed and moved around the whole time. it would be dumb not to just film the whole thing. they dont know what parts will come out or not. why did you say just 11 songs? have you seen them?

  7. How big are the chances that a professional camera guy from a TV crew at a concert fakes filming?

No, but there was a rumour quite a while ago that ESPN had payed for 11 songs. So I thought it might have been possible that the crew stopped filming after these 11.
  9. Not pretty big, indeed...

I would think that when paying for 11 songs, they were paying for the rights to display 11 songs, not to tape 11 songs. Maybe they recorded all of the show and picked which 11 to display from the setlist.

That would be the normal procedure indeed.

They filmed the whole thing. I doubt it will ever see the light of day though unless U2 themselves release it someday. I was actually hoping it would be the Joshua Tree show they released with the JT box set and not Paris.
