Sound:
Mediocre sound from the beginning, even though the vocals are incredibly muddled. Bono sounds like he's singing from Dublin while the band is playing in Cardiff. When Edge takes over the vocal duties for "Numb" you wouldn't be able to make out a single word if you weren't already familiar with the song. After that, "Babyface," "Dancin' Queen," and "Stay" are filled with blips and glitches all throughout. "Pride" was at a complete different volume than the rest of the show.
Rating: 2.5 out of 5 stars
Performance:
Hit and miss, in my book. Some songs came across as being pretty decent, but nothing (other than "Dancin Queen" and "Desire" really jumped out to me as being really really good. Edge's backing vocals in "Ultraviolet" come across pretty strong...in fact, that song is played particularly strong.
Rating: 3 out of 5
Audience:
During the first 45 seconds of "Zoo Station," I thought the added whistles from the crowd were a cool effect. But after that, I wanted to punch whomever was blowing them in the face. Seriously, they ruined the opening of the gig for me. It got so annoying. Can you imagine being there at the show and standing next to one of those guys? I think I might actually have threatened violence if they were close to me. The audience does manage to stay lively throughout most of the show though and gets enthusiastic when it comes to clapping on the beat and singing along. Nowhere near Brussels '87, but a nice showing. (Wish you were there, Dan!) The crowd also essentially falls asleep during "Satellite of Love," which is a shame. You can hear a ton of people carrying on their own conversations over the music, and it's quite annoying.
Rating: 3 out of 5.
Show Highlights:
"Dancin' Queen" was the best rendition I've heard yet. MUCH better than earlier on the tour when Larry breaks out the bongos. *gag*
"The First Time" snippet
"Bullet the Blue Sky"
I will say, they really rocked "Desire"
The phone call was pretty good, but I didn't know the backstory....someone care to explain?
Show Lowlights:
Adam was completely off during "Babyface." I actually looked to see if this was close to the first time they played it. He was brutal to listen to.
Sound quality is pretty bad.
Overall:
Very few highlights in this show, and the sound makes it not worth keeping on your ipod/computer.
