  1. Hi everybody, i've been visiting this site for over a year now (think it's the best), so I thought I would introduce myself finally. My name's Mat and I live in the South West of England.

    Been a U2 fan since Achtung Baby, have seen them on the Zoo TV tour (Cardiff), Popmart (Wembley), was lucky enough to win tickets to the Astoria gig to promote ATYCLB, Elevation tour (Earls Court and 1st Slane) and Vertigo tour (Cardiff).

    One last thing, a good friend of mine moved to Australia a few years ago (he's an electrician). Anyway, before the Australian leg of the Vertigo tour he was called to a hotel room to do some work. When he arrived it turned out Adam Clayton was having trouble with his coffee machine (think it had a uk plug on it). My friend is not a big U2 fan but he asked Adam if he would say hello to me over the phone. Adam agreed and at 3 oclock in the morning I got a phonecall that I never answered!! Probably for the best, I would have been a mumbling idiot at that time of the morning. That's my only U2 related story!

    great intro there. you've seen the band quiete some times already and that story of Adam calling you in the middle of the night is just too sad though you didn't pick up the phone... but how could you have known it would have been great if he'd left a message on your mailbox

    I was at Wembley, Earls Court and Cardiff Vertigo too!! Grab the boot of Cardiff, it's great. Plus what Jeremy said up above me there.
