    I have no problemns putting an African American in office, if their qualified. If you want to put someone in office, just because there African American, go with James Earl Jones.(Best actor ever. I've been too the theater were he started out btw. Helluva anice place.) I'd say hes more qualified just from age. there are certain jobs afirmative action will never work with.

    Not just him...but the people who vote for him. I'm more used to a realistic way of looking at things. It's great that a black senator is being elected to president, but please praise him afterwards. He has a lot of things to handle like military conflicts, economical crises etc. It's time for deeds now...the time of promises is over. So before speaking of changes and a totally new period for the USA, first see if he really can fulfil what he promised.

    More than Obama's victory, this is victory of America we all know from stories or films. This is victory of America Bono was impressed with when he saw it for the first time. And more than anything, this is victory of American people who don't want wars and guns in their pockets, American people that wants their dreams back.

    Exactly, he's inspired so many of us Americans, and I know he'll screw up, I'm pretty sure we all do. But he's certainly given us something to hope for in these dark times. So yes, he's not perfect, but he's definitely better than what we've had the past 8 years

    Well, as I said before I think he won mainly (if not solely) due to his colour, rather than his strengths as a candidate. He is not very experienced either.

    But it was a hard choice for Americans, the only other Democrat choice was Hillary Clinton and McCain was a bit old to give him Obama a run for his money. Having Palin as running mate, kind of shot his campaign in the foot though.

  12. He's a politician at the end of the day. Isn't it his job to promise everything and not fully deliver when he's elected? I can't see what he can do that'l make him so special. His first term (at least) is gonna be dominated by clearing up the 2 wars and the economy aswell as diminishing the Bush legacy.

    Trues he's the first Black president but so what, will it make him a better president? I think no so jot it down in the history books and lets see him deliver. Too much hype for the man to get around I reckon.
