    Amazing.

No, it is happening. But it is Natural phenomenon.

I see it as a big distraction, human rights are being taken away, new laws being pushed.
But you can have Madonna and Co. dancing around onstage, talking about an apparent threat...

    Perfect distraction wouldn't you think?

As I said before, the men with power have to notice the importance of the problem. Common people can't do almost anything, according to me.

    Thats a sad mentality.

"A small group of people can change the world, indeed it is all that ever has''

I think the Government is not worthy of our trust.

Yes, and Elvis is still alive.

OK, see it as an distraction, fine. Human rights are not taken away at all. Both things can, and must, be taken seriously.

    And i don't trust Gore.
Anybody who gave up the fight like he did, isn't deservant of trust.

*Also Al Gore's house emits more power than 100 times what he's telling us not to*

I think you're exaggerating a bit there Macphistfly... 6 billion of people have a bigger + industry etc emission than a vulcano

Well to be honest i also don't trust Gore, sometimes he's still a real politician but i don't think he would spend most of his life at this if he wouldn't believe at it... and that his house 4 times the emission of a normal house is absolutely a shame BUT it doesn't take away that there IS a problem

Maybe the climate is still the same in Ireland but in most countries of the world we see the change

no, its a proven fact my friend, i'll send you a video link.

And now hundreds of experts are coming out in droves to say it is nonsensical.

*(and er oh yeah, those Vulcano's sound delicious
    )

    You are an idiot.

You call me blind whilst you believe all that currently being hyped at and thrown at you by the mainstream media, and because i believe otherwise i'm a 'nutcase' or a 'denyer' (God forbid!)

Look at the patriot act in America, it seriously limits civil freedoms.
Look at the new E.U constitution, that thing speaks for itself. Carbon Emissions will be cut but so will all control our countries have over themselves
And look at the planned ID card system, but i bet you think that's a good idea

Call me whatever you will, but you are wrong, civil rights are being eroded, and Global Warming is the perfect distraction.

take a look at this, and ( if you are smart nough to have an ope mind) listen to this kid.
    He has a good point.

The Volcano point is no exxageration 90% of Climate Change is not caused by us.:(

Yeah, a kid will certainly change my mind.

Misunderstand you on that one. But this is part of Bush war against terror.
No thats not a good idea with the ID card system.

I watched the video and you must definately have some guts to scream a whole day "Al Gore's lying" and "Gore's a whore"

But listen to the following thing :
Indeed, most of the CO2 comes from nature, not from is, completely agreed
With that 90% you're saying, earth is in balanced, i hope you can agree with that
At some points, earth is getting out balance because of for example a meteorite or a suddenly vulcano that bursts out. Here we get a warming or an ice age, as we already had thousands of years ago.
    Now here's my point :
That 10% that humans are producing extra, is the part that pushes earth TOTALLY out of balance
Compare it with holding 50kg above your, if this is your max, you hope that there won't be a fool who gives you 5kg extra, or you won't hold it much longer
With earth it's the same, there's just enough pollution produced by nature
IF there's something that produce a bit more CO2, we ALL have a problem
And i know you've got around my age, so it's definately our problem

    I'm not so sure it's only 10% we're producing....
    - The Amazon forest, the green long, will be totally disappeared within a few years...
    - Millions of people are traveling by car, there are plains, trucks, boats...
    - Billions of people need energy from mostly oil, coils...
    - All the food we need, causes pollution
    - We all want more comfort => more pollution
    Etc etc...

I'll give you some examples to see there IS a global warming that ain't normal anymore, but first i'd like to tell you this
The last ice-age, had a temperature of 5°C, 5 lower then normal (10°C)
Scientists say that in the next 50 years, earth will warm up with 5 or 6 °C, which never had been before (we had ice-ages, but not "hot-ages" with 15 or 16 °c, never

    Some examples
    - North-and southpole are melting twice as fast as normal
    - Brazil had a hurricane, where people expected there could NEVER be a hurricane
    - Hurricane seasons ot almost twice as long and intense in America than normal
    - Already hundreds of plants and animals are fade away, NOT because of human
    - Sea-level is increasing with 2mm a year, which is a lot of water if you know earth exists from 75% water
    - Closer to my home : Belgium brakes record after record of "hottest month of April ever" or "Hottest and driest summer ever"... Or temperature is already around 2°c higher than normal
    - In France, thousands of people died in 2005 because of the warmth
    - One of the greatest lakes of Africa is almost completely dry
    - Gletsjers, snow and ice on the top of the Alps are melting very quickly....
    ......

And if you like to talk about the inequality, think about this :
If there's now earth anymore, then how in the world we can go to more equaltiy ?
But don't understand me wrong, it's a shame there's so much injustice
But maybe the solution is to live more like people of Africa again... Now i mean, that we, people of the West, maybe better can live more poor than give the poor our richness... Otherwise, earth is totally doomed... It works hand in hand
  11. Global warming is defintely happening and we cannot ignore it. Al Gore is a moron though-- he offered no hope whatsoever in his film, he just said "The earth is fucked and there isn't anything we can do about it." I'd say he's part of the problem, not the solution. Why would we want to care about something we can't change?

Some of his statistics were off too. I was told he claimed that in the next however many years, the ocean would rise 60 feet. Scientists say only one or two.
