1. yes it is on itunes.....I searched and found it too.
  2. Originally posted by AHNLondon, England (BANG) - Chris Martin is planning to retire next year. The Coldplay frontman doesn't want to become an aging rock star and is keen to quit music before he feels too old.

He said: "I'm 31 now and I don't think bands should keep going past 33."

"So we're trying to pack in as much as possible. Up until the end of next year, we'll just go for it in every sense. I don't believe in time off."

"We've still got our own hair, we can still fit into our musical trousers and we've got to make the most of that."

The "Clocks" singer - whose last album "Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends" topped the album charts in 36 countries - claim his band have only had such a successful year because their rivals have taken a break.

He added: "The reason we're the biggest band in the world at the moment is because the others are on holiday. That's how you get your breaks. That's how the understudy gets his opportunity."

"While U2 and Green Day are away, we've gotten to make the most of it."

I heard that same rumor some time ago, when I read some article about their albums. Parachutes was the start, AROBTTH a sort of coming to age, X&Yabout the battle against yourself and the other sexe and Viva La Vida about death and life.

I wonder if this is true, Coldplay has a lot of potential. If they really like it to produce and make music, they won't quit for ever, unless Chris is planning a solo-career.

This is all bullocks, Coldplay wouldn't bow out this early. This is as made up as someone saying Miley Cirus croaked.
  4. bollocks. they wouldn't quit now after they've achieved such a great success. they'll keep working and doing music for some time, surely longer than Chris said. And if they're really gonna quit, I would miss them. Still haven't seen them live

or are they going to have some break á la The Verve? please no, Forth was a great comeback but I don't wanna wait for another of my favourites to come back to the scene

I heard reports on several radio stations about this article (and other articles saying the same) and Chris said he doesn't believe in a long break.

Would be something to quit on the top of your game...respect

they would certainly have to put that quitting thing on hold though. they promised their fans an EP and another album and a tour to follow. meaning they can't quit until 2010. if they break their promise then that shows no respect to their fanbase, which would make them look like assholes.

not exactly a way to bow out
