btw why are there always some special editions released in Japan? I've seen a lot of album released in special editions with some bonuses there, e.g. Forth

  6. Coldplay quits next year?

Coldpay star Chris Martin says that after 2009 his band will be no more. The popular star, who is married to Hollywood A-Lister Gweneth Paltrow, says that he feels that bands shouldn't continue after the age of 33. The frontman, 31, was quoted by the Daily Express stating:

"I'm 31 now and I don't think that bands should keep going past 33," he said. "So, we're trying to pack in as much as possible. Up until the end of next year, we'll just go for it in every sense.

"I don't believe in time off. We've still got most of our hair, we can still fit into our musical trousers and we've got to make the most of that."

Before you get all worked up over the comments, remember it is a long standing tradition for bands "retire" only to come back time and time again. Just read any biography of "The Who" and you'll see that retirement talk is usually just that-all talk.

  7. It's not. They've said it before. They were intending to quit after their first album because they just wanted to make a record and become famous and then walk away, but they never did. They've said it before, but it's not going to happen, especially not after their most successful tour and record. I guarantee it.

That's because they hope that way people or record stores from Europe and especially US will import the cds, so they can make more money.

That's not true, Japanese people often import CD's because that's cheaper, making special editions for the Japanese market gives people an extra reason to buy the CD's in Japan.
  10. I posted the same yesterday, probably a rumor or some stupid journalist. Or the truth...
  11. Back to that whole quitting before they're 33 thing, that was a really stupid thing for CM to say. Now, if he doesn't, that quote will haunt him forever. It'll be like that Mick Jagger quote about how he hoped to god he wasn't playing 'Satisfaction' at age 50 (or 65 or however the hell old he is!) Think before you speak, Chris!
