1. i think one is the answer.

  2. The New Mix of Gone is incredible! I think it's between One or BD, this one.
  3. One and Beautiful Day. Simple as that.
  4. Definitely BD and One, but down here COBL is also still pretty popular...

  5. Really? I never noticed that. Maybe that's because I hardly ever listen to the radio.

  6. IF they play a U2-song (which is never lol ) they often play BD or COBL.

  7. Still Haven't Found is pretty popular on Skyradio, as is Sweetest Thing. But that's nothing, SkyRadio is the biggest radio crap on earth.

lol...We always have Sweetest Thing where I work
    But SkyRadio sucks indeed
  9. Most people I know only know Beautiful Day, Vertigo, Elevation and One as genuine U2 songs, although One is a bit of a toughie because it's kinda 50/50 - some have, some haven't. Others know Pride, ISHFWILF and WOWY, but are not necessarily aware that they're U2 songs, and with Streets only really musical people seem to know it. As for songs that "common" people would like...I'm sure if said people knew Streets, they'd like it...I don't really know, to be honest - I think the beauty of U2 is looking past the really well-known songs and finding the ones that you personally connect with.

As far as I can see there are only a few given candidates for this title, being:

    Sunday bloody sunday
Pride (in the name of love)
Where the streets have no name
I still havn't found what I'm looking for
    With or without you
    One
    Beautiful day

You may also estimate what other song(s) you think common people would like the most if they heard it (i.e less "famous" songs that regardlessly would be more popular if people knew about them).

If I may? My friends who listen to popular music consider U2 old. It's sad. BD is to U2 as was Start Me Up was to the Rolling Stones. The problem with this is that 'popular music' is that eventually things get overplayed and then people dislike the song. Therefore, you would have to classify U2 as 'classic' in this topic. I listen to a hit radio station every once in a while. Stuff such as 'You Shook Me All Night Long' , 'Summer of '69', come on, etc. IMO in order for a song to be popular it has to stand the test of time. As for U2 on the radio at my work, who play 'hit radio material', I've heard Streets and WOWY most. Vertigo IMO would not count because it's not heard on the radio anymore. One is replaced by the Mary J Blidge version because it's 'current'. Beautiful Day would be a good choice, but I haven't heard it on the radio in a while. Most kids my age have heard 'The Sweetest Thing'. I'd go with that. SBS is nice, along with WOWY as 80s icons. Because U2 have stood the test of time, you can't choose one song. They lived through the 80s and the 90s, and have thrived in the 00s. 3 distinct eras, and maybe 3 different bands.

If Out of Control were a single, it would've been great. Bad would be great too, maybe if it were edited for radio.

    You have watched Slane?

"This is our first single...we hope you LIKE IT!"

  12. He's referring to Three, which was OOO but IMO the demo. If the album version were a single, then it would be awesome lol.
