1. I give up lol.........
  2. I get the feeling that we're going around in circles on this one. Let's just agree that until we do an official poll of the average punter than we'll never really know what is the most popular U2 song for sure. The age and location of the sample would be key variables I suspect.

Certainly don't hear it much on radio now you come to mention it. I did a quick straw poll at work yesterday and of the 13 people I asked 2 said 'I don't know any' and the other 11 all said Beautiful Day.

Depressing. I think the song sucks

    Fire your co-workers.

  5. I think that would leave Dan in the lurch, I'm pretty sure it would be hell running a veterinary without 13 staff around and about the place lol...
  6. Absolutely Beautiful Day. If you talk to someone about U2, you surely will hear Beautiful day, not necessarily the person is a U2 fan or not.
  7. Ugh. This topic is making me hate Beautiful Day even more....

  8. In case anyone was unsure, Jeremy does not like Beautiful Day. Just thought I should point that out, y'know, in case was feeling an element of uncertainty after being confronted by such ambiguity on J-Man's part...

Hahaha....I suppose I was stating my case a little too strong. I don't HATE the song, it's just....there's SO much that's better and I guess I'm disappointed that the younger generations don't identify with the "Streets," the "Out of Controls" and the "Unforgettable Fires." Oh well.

PS - IMO, Beautiful Day is the 8th best song on ATYCLB.

Don't give me that "younger generation" lark lol! Look at my top 10 songs the only post-2000 song that would ever make it on there is COBL. Out Of Control has a special place in my heart because it was the first song I heard on my 18th birthday when I remembered the lyrics, and seeing as my eighteenth was also a Monday, I just couldn't get over the coincidence.

    Gary -- UK

Age 40 3/4 (a la Adrian Mole) The OLDER Generation

IMHO Best Song is With Or Without You

Most Popular has to be Beautiful Day,if you like the song or that fact or not.

...like any kind of best / popular poll everything is subjective to your own tastes.

And don't worry about Dan being without staff in his Surgery,Harry. You did see is picture he posted with his "George" on look.,and is catalogue pose.Suave....
