  1. Last summer, we could choose between 2 movies in the cinema. Wall-E to the left, The Mummy 3 to the right....guess which one we chose..
  2. Dark Knight- Still amazing.

  3. Definitely, even though I couldn't really pay that much attention because I was working on various pieces of stuff etc., I still enjoyed it quite a lot (wasn't any pizza or beer available though!)


  4. It fell short of the mark for me. The first two times I saw it in the cinema I was blown away but. Bought and watched the blu ray on monday and it was nowhere near as good. Batman begins is holding up better after multiple watches. Plus the blu ray transfer wasn't great.

    I don't totally disagree. The prison transfer sequence was made for the big screen. And knowing the big surprise of the third act lessened its impact, but it is so much better than 95% of the big blockbusters of the past few years.

    The IMAX filmed sequences looked great but it was annoying how it kept switching to 2.4:1 then back to IMAX. There was also too much edge enhancement throughout. Morgan freemans hair just looked static. It was really bad at times for a blu ray. Could partly be my setup but other blu rays manage to look just great throughout.

    So couple the dodgy transfer with seeing the movie 5 times in as many months, Batman Begins is a better all rounder for me at present.
  7. The Imax on the TDK was very noticeable. I watched on DVD not Blu-Ray, so I got the quality I expected. Now that it is Christmas time, (my own holiday tradition)I am indulging myself in all 1500 hours of the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Most wonderful time of the year indeed!

    Haven't watched lott since I read the book 2 years ago. I'll wait for the blu ray edition.

    I watched "The Most Dangerous Game" in my English class last week. It was shot way back in the 1940s (or around that time), and I cracked up throughout the whole movie (the way it was shot)!! lol
  11. One for you film buffs, I watched Rome, Open City on Tuesday in our weekly film screening for my Film Studies module; actually a very good film (bar the score, which drove me nuts) in my opinion, some powerful performances mixed with a very prevalent story in the mix.
  12. watched Harry Potter 4 on telly tonight. the best one so far
