As far as I'm concerned this is just a rumour. I'll wait until the band give real tour dates.

I'll wait til the band gives us a real album too.

I just opened it with Photoshop and there are only pixels. But it's fake afterall, so why bother lol

    I did that as well...
  2. Calm down, people.....you're starting to sound absurd.

  3. Time for some proper stuff because this useless gossip time isn't good for our forums.

That is an oversimplification, the Salome tapes were truly rough, snippets of songs in progress, as they were recorded with no mixing/production applied.

If you've listened to the Beach Clips they are obviously quite polished, complete songs, with a clearly 'produced' sound, not jam sessions on tape like the Salome recordings.

That's why I hope they radically changed the 'sexy boots' track, it didn't sound promising on the clips

It seems that the album was nearly complete, and due to be out in Nov 08, and then they decided to prolong recording because of recent musical breakthroughs.

Perhaps Eno learnt something from producing Viva La Vida, which Coldplay returned to after release, ending up with Prospekt's March. ie not to stop a band when they have 'recording momentum' because of a release date, as it is hard to regain that momentum after taking a break, and so is better to keep recording and let that momentum take you to different places musically.
  5. A press release on Christmas Day with the 1st single coming on New Year's Day would be nice.

I just read at u2-forum.com (German) that a fan met Paul McG and she asked if U2 would really be touring next summer, and he said that they'd play Barcalona at the end of June. So this means a European Leg in the summer.

I do not know whether that clean-fits here, but I do not find now straight anything concrete to route EMS 2009. Was already longer not here (ähem), but I thought, dasß must I you absolutely tell! I now was on weekend in London, because of 2 Coldplay concerts in the CO2 arena (very much geil!). In the 2nd evening I had a place farther back in the interior (only so besides, I hope, that really never make U2! ). I sat ganzu outside at a passage, and I saw Paul McGuiness at one time nevertheless actually passing me…! It was simply so unreal, exactly the same, when I met once Bonos bodyguard before a Londoner hotel, where he worked straight for another star. In the first moment one cannot so at all assign (I anyhow) and thinks only so " Häh? " , because the environment does not " simply; paßt" , as it were. LOL I illuminated it instinctive, because I was simply so pleased and it has also back-smiled - probably, because he probably thought " Naja, I smile times back, even if I straight absolutely this person do not remember kann" Naja, anyhow sat behind me one, which he probably could do and with which he briefly spoke. I rose somehow instinctive (if already, because already! It went nevertheless indirectly around U2) and imagined, I asked simply times friendly for a photo. It was also really very nice and meant directly " Yeah, sure! " and as I it already alone to make a blueprint wanted (me did not come somehow at all into the sense to photograph me *mit* it leave!), Paul meant types " to that; He should take the picture! " Ok one! Höhö! After I had thanked you, I had asked *natürlich* for the route, I believe, sowas as " Acres the boys really coming on route NEXT summer"? Jaaaaa, I knows genuinly not, what I with " myself; boys" thought! *rolleyes* no comment! , Anyhow he, said LOL no matter they would come definitely: " Into the end to OF June they acres playing Barcelona". No notion, why it straight (randomly!) Barcelona meant, Spanish does not look I not straight. I asked naturally to Germany, what he also affirmed (it is clear), but unfortunately had I not the illumination to ask also for a concrete date. Anyhow it stood for a few song directly beside me at the mixer and everything completely exactly regarded. I had the feeling, it compared already times in thoughts with U2' s of coming route and like one it to make just as good and/or naturally still better could…. Oh, and " Fixed you" Chris Martin dedicated then even Paul McGuiness! I would have been perhaps annoyed, if I had however not experienced only in such a way that he would have been in the evening there, I him " into the flesh" would have seen! This meeting was in any case a nice and unexpected highlight of the evening for me! Photo equals, if I get it! With quotation answer
  7. Was that Genglish?

  8. Yeah. I used the Babelfish translator. For a translator, I'm pleasantly surprised, usually German > English comes out unintelligably.

    'No Line on the Horizon'
No Line On The Horizon, the new studio album from U2, will be released on Monday 2nd March 2009.

Written and recorded in various locations, No Line On The Horizon is the group’s 12th studio album and is their first release since the 9 million selling album How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb, released in late 2004.

Sessions for No Line On The Horizon began last year in Fez, Morocco, continued in the band’s own studio in Dublin, before moving to New York’s Platinum Sound Recording Studios, and finally being completed at Olympic Studios in London.

The album calls on the production talents of long-time collaborators Brian Eno and Danny Lanois, with additional production by Steve Lillywhite.
