  2. I like the mood / vibe of Scarlet. Others obviously disagree.

    I like Elvis Presley and America. Again, good atmosphere and interesting experimentation.

    Corpse? Same as above. I like good textural music.

    The Sweetest Thing. I like the B-Side (Original Version) better.

    Red Light: "It is universally acknowledges as NOT our finest moment". Bono told me that one time, when I was talking to him during the Popmart tour.

    Van Diemen's Land: I love this song!

    Best of 1990-2000 New Mixes: How you thought Pop could be improved is a question that has a simple answer: they can't. They gutted these songs. The Numb mix has more of Larry's vocal and is cool. Discotheque lacks without the "Boom Cha's".

    Drunk Chicken: Yep, not a great song.

    Then you're pointing at the wrong band. U2 were never just plain rock n' roll.

    All of them boring, Bad is incredible live, but studio is just awful!!

    But the worst must be Wild Honey, I mean, a monkey? I have heard it like 2 times, all of them in the few weeks after I bought the album three years ago

  8. They were close to it during their first 3 years and during Lovetown. But how do we define Rock 'n Roll? Opinions will differ in that matter.
  9. I like Drunk Chicken, not as a song, but as an experimental poem, it is interesting. They have certainly done much worse eg. Miami, Elvis Presley and America and most of Original Soundtracks.

    And who doesn't like Van Diemens Land??? I always play it to non-U2 listeners and say: "See how well the guitarist can sing, how many bands have two great vocalists"

    I mean they were never just rock n' roll.They were always voice of weak, poor, sad and also hope for them.

  11. I don't like the studio version of "40". It's so incredibly dull.

    The live version is much better because of the atmosphere it gives.
