  1. Perhaps the No Line On The Horizon double vinyl edition has 3-4 tracks on each side. I don't know, Stadium Arcadium had 28 tracks but was released as quadruple vinyl and Mellon Collie had 28 tracks and was released as a triple vinyl.

    U2 have revealed their new album is to be called No Line On The Horizon and is lined up for a release date of March 2 next year.

    The album, the band's 12th studio release, was written and recorded in various locations including Fez in Morocco. It is the band's first release since nine million-selling 2004 album How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb. No Line On The Horizon was at one stage expected towards the tail end of this year but the band wanted to complete more material and the release date was pushed back.

    You can find more exclusive U2 material - including a behind the scenes video - on qthemusic.com from next week as we ready ourselves for Q271 which features the band on the cover. From Boxing Day we will whet your appetite with a preview shot from our cover shoot with top photographer Gavin Bond.

    On December 28, Q's editor in chief Paul Rees will let you know more about the album and its recording and from December 31 we will have a dedicated U2 mini-site which will feature more shots from the cover shoot as well as a video of the band from the photo session, narrated by Adam Clayton. We will also have a U2 quiz. Make a note in your diary.

  4. Not a double album - just spreading the album over two vinyl LPs. Like the U2 singles Vinyl.

    No Line On The Horizon will be 12 to 13 songs, which will fit on 1 CD.

    And a friend in the UK said that he'd run into Dallas Schoo. Seems that Mercy probably will be on the album.


  6. I'd go for 11 too, plus one bonus track for the Japanese and British releases: similar to HTDAAB

    And Mercy is a good song, but it sure needs a lot of changes. Bono's vocals were okay, but Edge's guitar is not very cool
    And Adam and Larry rock, they make Mercy so cool
  7. maybe this is just a random thought right now, but... if I order the album (no matter which version) at amazon... will they deliver it the day it's released, or will they send it the day it's released -- and I'd get it a day later?! just wondering if it's "safe" enough to order it, or if I should indeed go to the real music store and buy it the old-fashioned way I wouldn't want to wait one minute longer than necessary, you know..

  8. if that's the case, i'd go to your local store. a lot of them will stay open until midnight the day before for a big release like this.

    The Cedars of Lebanon
    Unknown Caller
    Get On Your Boots

    possibly : One Bird and For Your Love (isn't that Only Love??)

    don't think will make it : North Star, If I Could Live My Life Again, etc. Those were mentioned during the bomb era.

    So i think this is great news! We only know like 7 of the songs out of 12 or w.e. and we don't even know what they sound like really.. And if it is a double album when the album comes out we will have no idea what to expect!!! Im excited about that!!

    It's Only Love I think. At least, that's what Bono shouts during the Beach Clip and the U2-vid from U2.com we saw earlier. They won't call a song For Your Love when Only Love is sung during the melody.
