  2. Wow first second I saw Bono I was freaked out... Links are not working yet on that site. Damn I wanna hear it, I wanna feel it. Descriptions of the songs look like the perfect U2 album to me...

    Moment Of Surrender:
    A strident seven-minute epic recorded in a single take...sounds like a Great U2 Moment in the spirit of One,

    No Line on the Horizon:
    Two versions of the title track were extant: the first is another Unforgettable Fire-esque slow burner that builds to a euphoric coda, the second a punk-y Pixies/Buzzcocks homage that proceeds at a breathless pace. "We recorded the second version just last night," explained the singer whilst enthusiastically air drumming along to it. "I'm very excited by that one," Q begged to differ, casting a vote for the more layered earlier version.

    Every Breaking Wave:
    Was beginning to take shape around an emotive Bono vocal and an appropriately grand swell of a climax. "We might be on to something special there," noted Bono.
    (Wonder if this is Beach Clip 4??)


    If we add Breathe, also confirmed in this article, and Cedars of Lebanon, confirmed a while back by Lanois, that's 11 tracks right there.




    So these are definitely appearing on the album then?
  4. I guess if they are like talking about them now. i think it might be a double album. i was very skeptical but i think so.


  5. The Q article doesn't mention when they heard the final versions of these tracks, but that they "heard previews of seven tracks at various stages of completion as the band were winding up." The article does mention that they heard two version of NLOTH the song at Olympic studios, which was their final recording sessions, so I'd guess that these are confirmed tracks for the album.

    The way the Q article states it, it almost seems like a Native Son/Vertigo situation with two distinct versions rather than a radio single and album version: "The first is another Unforgettable Fire-esque slow burner that builds to a euphoric coda, the second a punk-y Pixies/Buzzcocks homage that proceeds at a breathless pace." I could be wrong. But eh, who knows? We'll find out ina few short months!

    Miracle Drug was originally 15 minutes? Wow...I thought it wore out its welcome at the two minute mark. Can't imagine 15 minutes of it.


  11. Im pretty sure because if these tracks are confirmed then thats like 13-14 tracks. Do you think those are all the tracks we will see?? i think we haven't heard about like 6 tracks so it will be a double album. The more the better i say.

    I just think financially it doesn't make sense, and we know U2 is all about making as much cash as possible.
