1. I have been trying to do one for years. I have decided to do 4 cds. I cant wait to see what you do with yours.

  2. i think mine will end up being around that size (4cds), did you only have one version of each song, or some doubles.
  3. i need some help with the order of songs before 'the first time', and is encore 1 too acthung baby-ish?????

    If it was me, I'd look at re-arranging it a little bit.

    Zoo Station
    The Fly
    Even Better Than The Real Thing
    Mysterious Ways
    One
    Until The End of The World
    Tryin' To Throw Your Arms Around The World
    Whi's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses
    With or Without You
    Ultra Violet
    I Can't Help Falling In Love
    Love Is Blindness

    And putting Discotheque elsewhere would work a lot better if you want it to be a Zoo encore. If possible, try using a program like Audacity to put tracks closer together, which would make it sound like a real show.

    cool, where can i get Audacity from? i had the order like it was because i thought it flowed well and at the end of ICHFILWY bono says goodnight, so its like a real enore when it starts up again. but songs can be edited to make them flow better. and i need to put dirty day from sydney 1993 somewhere aswell, and the discotecque was played on the 1st encore in chicago, where else would be good? maybe near gone and mofo towards the top?

    Great selection u got there! I've wanted to create such a compilation for a long time now but am never quite satisfied in the end for fear of not having chosen the perfect song after all lol. However I'll check out the choices from this list, maybe I find some gems.
    Also, I'd like to give some of my suffestions for songs. These are renditions I am quite confident with, so to speak:

    Gloria (1984 11-21 – Dortmund)
    --> Rocks! Also love the bits where Bono introduces the band, and Adam’s ‚solo’. Plus, the audience sings along.

    C'mon Everybody (Eddie Cochran cover) (1987 08-01 - Edinburgh)
    --> Great performance, great audience!

    Stand By Me (snippet) (1992 06-04 - Dortmund)
    --> Edge sings, great crowd.

    Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me / Children of the revolution (snippet) (1997 07-31 - Mannheim)
    --> Best live rendition of the song in my opinion besides Mexico 12-03. The Plus here ist: the snippet is nothing less but amazing! Especially how Edge plays up to it.

    The First Time (2006 03-02 Buenos Aires)
    --> LOVELY acoustic version, and great audience.

    Elevation (2006 03-02 Buenos Aires)
    --> Great crowd, full power.

    Tryin' To Throw Your Arms Around The World / Three Little Birds (snippet) (1992 08-13 - East Rutherford)
    --> nice singing by Bono, great guitar towards the end which sometimes really reminds you of/IS "Montgomery's Visit" (Achtung Baby Outtake). And the snippet of "Three Little Birds" - not "Love And Affection" as stated in the setlist is a nice snippet on top.

    I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For / Could You Be Loved (snippet) / In A Little While (snippet) (2005 11-02 - Los Angeles)
    --> great Bob Marley snippet and AWESOME improv singing by Bono ("Woke up one morning...I wrote this song" etc, kicks ass)

    11 O'Clock Tick Tock / Sweet dreams (snippet) / Someone Somewhere in Summertime (snippet) (1983 07-03 - Werchter)
    --> Awesome rendition with marvellous last snippet.

    Beautiful Day / Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (snippet) / Many rivers to cross (snippet) (2005 09-21 - Chicago)
    --> The way Bono's sings about John Lennon and co, most intense 'version' I know.

    The Electric Co. / People I Don't Know Are Trying To Kill Me (snippet) / Bullet with butterfly wings (snippet) / See Me, Feel Me (snippet) (2005 09-21 - Chicago)
    --> Powerful and rocking, great snippets! You can hear Larry quite well which adds to the power it transforms into your headphones .

    Desire / Van Morrison's Gloria (snippet) / Dude (Looks Like A Lady) (snippet) / Jump Around (snippet) / Psalm 51 (snippet) (2001 06-09 - Boston)
    --> Loving it how they get back to the song after having it actually 'finished', and then singing some more snippets

    Instant Karma! / Happy Christmas (War Is Over) (snippet) (2005 12-19 - Portland)
    --> Great sound.

    As for the songs Stay, Mofo, When Love Comes to Town, Dirty Day, 2 Hearts Beat As One I have the same choice

    ---

    My "working faves" include:
    Where The Streets Have No Name / Playboy Mansion (snippet) (1997 08-28 - Leeds)
    --> because of the great ending, altho some might be annoyed by the effects ?! :-s. I just love how Bono sings the snippet and then wants the band to come back with the “no no no!”.

    Last Night On Earth (1998 02-11 - Santiago de Chile)
    --> The best way Bono's intro talk was done. Awesome rendition in every (rocky) way!

    Sunday Bloody Sunday (2001 10-24 - New York)
    --> Great audience singing along from the start. Bono is happy about some IRA news.

    She's A Mystery (Brooklyn Bridge Concert 2004)
    --> Priceless Bono.

    Staring At The Sun (1997 05-22 - Pittsburgh)
    --> Full band version.

    Vertigo / It’s The End Of The World As We Know It (snippet) (2005 07-21 – Milan) (final song)
    --> Simply my fave Vertigo live toether with the Saitama ones. I chose this because of the better quality. Love the snippet at the end.

    Out Of Control (Saitama 2006-12-04)
    --> Awesome Bono chatter during the song!

    ... I CANNOT decide which rendition of Bad I could use.

    Thanks alot for these suggestions, ill check out as many as i can, but my downloads for the month r nearly used up, so ill have to wait to download some of ur suggested bootlegs. I made a mix of 2 great versions of bad that leads straight into Bullet, u can have it if u want, my vertigo from milan is rather bad quality compared to Saitama ones, i didnt dl it form here, maybe thats y. That 11 oclock u suggested is great, so is BD and out of control, now i got some tough decisions to make

    The Vertigo version I have listed is the one from ...I dunno, some promo video.

    I can upload you the missing MP3s from my suggestions if you want. Glad you had a listen to some although it lead to a bad thing *g*.

    I really would like to hear your mix of Bad, so YES please upload it .
    Did you use Audacity to merge the 2 songs ?

    Mh, I guess virtual DJ is share ware. I think Nero also has the feature to merge songs, somehow....once I'm done with my final selection I'll simply try it out...or I'll try to figure out audacity.

    As for uploading:
    Just go to www.sendspace.com
    All you have to do is select the MP3 and tick the TOA. Then hit "Upload File". A new window will appear that shows you the progress of the upload. Once it's done, you will get a download link (be careful, there's also a delete link, u don't need that one). Just copy the link and write me a PM or post it here . I'll do the same. I take it you do not need OOC, 11 o'clock and BD and Electric Co. then ?

    Btw, if sendspace doesn't work for you, other similar sites are megaupload.com or mediafire.com.

    Cheers
