Katherine is right, though only 14 she seems to be the one with more musical sense.
While the Beatle's music may not sound particularly innovative today, it was unlike anything else back in the 60s.
To sound like nothing else at the time, while still enjoying unbelievable mainstream success and airplay, is an incredibly hard thing to do.
They should get credit not only for their influence their music had on rock today, but also their massive influence on pop culture.
Put simply; if the Beatles never existed, rock & pop as we know it would probably also never exist, and U2 mightn't sound like U2 at all.

You are allowed to dream about U2 being better than the Beatles, but Coldplay? That's an heresy.![]()

. However, they were ahead of their time. If they had an era such as POPMart, they would have been unreal!!

Point 4: Yes, Coldplay are definitely that good. I understand why a lot of people disagree with that statement, and I understand why. They just haven't had a peak period yet, like U2 did with the Joshua Tree. I say give them an album or two, and we'll see some amazing stuff![]()

Point 5: How did Bob Dylan end up in here?![]()
Thanks for letting me rant lol![]()

The Beatles were a great, great band and their influence is almost beyond measure and Harrison was certainly welcome to his opinion - but that's all it was. Opinions are like arseholes - we've all got one. Mind you, if RINGO had a word or two to say... Not only was Ringo not the best drummer in the world, he wasn't even the best drummer in The Beatles![]()
