1. There has been a lot of talk about it so I'd like to ask is there any videos about it?:

"At a recent U2 concert in Glasgow, Scotland, [Bono] asked the audience for total quiet.

Then, in the silence, he started to slowly clap his hands, once every few seconds. Holding the audience in total silence, he said into the microphone, “Every time I clap my hands, a child in Africa dies.”

From the front of the crowd a voice with a broad Scottish accent pierced the quiet …

“Well, fuckin stop doin it then, ya evil bastard"

  2. Are you aware that this is a joke?
  3. Eek

  4. I'm pretty sure you'll find that the Scottish guy was being a smartarse, nothing else in it. Bono obviously meant that a child is dying every few seconds in Africa, but the Scottish guy made a joke out of it by interpreting it as a child dying because Bono claps his hands lol...
  5. It is an old joke...can be applied to many things, not just african children.
But on this context it is not really a joke, it is more of a way to let people know how serious are Africa's problems.
  6. Haha indeed, this is a very known joke, no reason to discuss any further, there is no show
