1. I've always imagined Bon snippeting Pearl Jam's Jeremy at the end of One Tree Hill. It fits especially well when I listen to the 1989-12-26 version at The Point Depot with the extra improved verse at the end of the song.
  2. Also, R.E.M.'s Find the River after One, in the style of Unchained Melody.
  3. 21. 40 / 42 (snippet) (40 from u2) (42 from coldplay)

whenever I hear that song I start singing WOWY. Maybe they did it as a tribute or something , very similar drums, bass
  5. that song is linkin parks WOWY... sounds good. not as good though lol
  6. U2 - I Will Follow >>>> Linkin Park - Bleed it Out (snippit)

    another similar sounding guitar riff.
  7. I think the Beatles' "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" would be pretty good snippet for Bullet, replacing a "Johnny Comes Marching Home" snippet...

"She's So.... *Larry enters, Edge does his wah thing* Heavy!"

For Mysterious Ways, I think that the Beatles' "Something" would be a great snippet, around the endings, like where Bono's wailing (which I love btw) was on the Vertigo tour, but instead of the original rhythm, etc. it is better fit for MW Same thing for "A Day In The Life" (the "I want to turn you on" part)

    Idk, just my two cents
  8. Not a new snippet, but the return of Give Peace A Change (in preference with 11 O'Clock) would be awesome..!
  9. An idea for WOWY - inc. North & South Of The River. I've been working on this idea of fitting in the passage Some high ground is not worth taking/Some connections are not worth making/There's an old church bell no longer ringing/And some old songs not worth singing during the buildup to the second "oooooooooohs" á la PopMart >> Vertigo format, as Edge starts playing the chords part which used to precede the solo and Shine Like Stars etc.

It's not completely perfect but I thought there was something in the idea...

Harry, those lines a brilliant! I can really see them fitting into WOWY, they have a certain mystical quality such as "Strangers In The Night"

I've been listening to N&SOTR for a while now - I've fallen in love with it - and that passage has been running around my head ever since I first heard it, it's a beautiful song, and the passage just struck me as very WOWY-ish in a way

I wish that I could come up with a line as great as that
