I just think the new info coming from Q and RS, allows us to better interpret what the Beach Clips are, and therefore what the album may sound like.

And interstingly, it would actually be better if people 'believed' the Beach Clips rather than believing the hype, because it prevents them from being disappointed when the single and album come out.

I hear ya....i think this a stupid debate anyway...I'm trying to stay out of it as much as possible. I listen to the beach clips, but I'm not betting everything on them. I'm reserving full judgment for Get Your Boots On until I hear it properly...my first impressions are that I think it's interesting and certainly sounds different..def not what i would have expected, but then again, that's a good thing. We just need to hear the damned thing. I understand your point of view and I understand the others. This whole "argument", or debate rather, is just pointless
  2. I basically have enough faith in the band not to disappoint....they haven't so far, guess i'm in the "radical" bunch that thinks they've gotten better with age and will continue to. I'm extremely optimistic and I probably won't be disappointed, because there really isn't a song that I don't like...just my POV / 2 cents....bring on the horizon
  3. wrong post
  4. Well I had a dream we'l hear the single on the 19th of tgis month amd itl sound exactly like something from Bomb, byt slightly more melodic.

Could be more than true...tell me when you dream about Magnificent. I guess you start dreaming about all the twelve(?) songs the coming twelve days. When you're done, the single comes out...

This thread is getting more and more sophisticated and psychological by the minute..

Lyndan, just my two cents now..

Beach clips ---> Doesn't necessarily mean they're complete recordings
Beach clips ---> Doesn't necessarily mean they're uncomplete recordings

    Fact is...we don't know. Simple.

In other news: Bono mentioned the 150bpm track was less or around 3 minutes long. How long is BC nr. 3?

Well, I for one, don't give a flying fuck about what the general public might think about the album. All that matters to me is whether I like it.

BC 3 is 3 minutes 19 seconds long, as soon as i heard 150bpm mentioned by bono i imediatly thought of BC 3, i know ive been bashing the song abit, but ill stop know, the quality is so crap on the clip its not fair of me to judge it, its like observing art work with beer goggles on.

Anyway...and BC3 isn't complete. It's not the whole song, so I think it has been changed since then. In what way, I don't know. I don't even know if I'm right or wrong in this matter. Let's hear the single.

i know, the wait is killing me, ive only had to wait for U218 singles and the remastered editions since i became a u2 fan, but waiting for BRAND NEW music is sooo much harder and makes the days pass that much slower, the end of feb is gona be hell for me.

Blunt but precise, and something I thoroughly agree with lol.

Well, I wasn't trying to critique the whole song now was I?

I was simply saying that the chorus was poor (especially for a lead single),the fact that the RS article confirmed that they hadn't changed the chorus lyrics at all, doesn't help.
