    Wait a minute, this guy thinks GOYB isn't completely different from Beach Clip 3? The reviewer must be wrong, what an absolute idiot, why are we listening to him?.

    We all know Bono is still recording the vocals at this very moment, Adam's rewriting the bass line and Eno hates the drum track so much, he's replacing them with maracas.

    And anyway they're going to throw the whole thing out and start again from scratch the night before the album is sent of to be pressed.

    Isn't that right? Casper? aussiemofo? Gerard? He obviously isn't listening to the final version of the song, how can that be?

    I NEVER said the Beach Clip was the final song, I compared it to the early mixes of All Because of You, or Xanax & Wine (that became Fast Cars).

    He says:

    Which means it could be different, but it's not obvious that any radical changes have been made. It's representative of the final song, which was my point.
  7. But that's fairly obvious, as all the beach clips are representatives of songs, but all we can do is suggest which ones. You couldn't be sure of this, neither did we. It's all suggestive talk which doesn't really matter. I can easily say beach clip 4 will be Magnificent..how can I be sure? I can't...

    Stop trying to cover your ass and trying to change the subject and admit you were wrong.

    You (and the others) have not wanted to listen to the Beach Clips, which is fine, you are entitled to listen or not listen to whatever you want to.

    But don't expect the Album Discussion Thread (which discusses the upcoming album and songs btw, hence the name) to be a Non-Beach Clip zone, where you can discuss things like, what Eno said, who punched Bono onstage, where can I get the Q mag etc.etc.

    And when it isn't and people are talking about the clips (ie. discussing representative songs) what gives you (and the mods) the right to try and stamp out all such discussion, so as to not upset you and the other non-listeners, who want to speculate on the album, but only to a certain degree, up to a point which suits them, and anyway they would much rather listen to the hype.

  11. Could someone perhaps give a brief rundown of what the future holds, i.e. dates of releases? There's so much crap blocking up this thread (and that's not just referring to the Beach Clips) that I've got lost trying to find basic info. lol, I mean what official news do we have? Is March 2nd the only actual confirmed date of release? Has PM/the band said actually made an announcement regarding release of singles etc.?

    A lot of questions I know, but trying to navigate through the rubble of this thread is like trying to run through molasses wearing boots made of lead.

    EDIT - by the by, I just want to venture the opinion that this thread is getting incredibly tiring lol. Just my tuppence worth, and yes that is an example of OPINION, nothing more, nothing less.

    Please, someone make a quick summary of what has been officially confirmed, dates of releases and so...

    And please, stop NOW talking about meaningless points such as Beach Clips or speculations about the album. It's less than two months far, can't you wait?
