    i hope so, i have a feeling most of the "weird" or "adventurous" songs were left out....but obviously can't say for sure
  2. I like the album art...even though it has a line on the horizon (wtf?!)...I was just hoping for something different and better looking than HTDAAB and ATYCLB, and this one does it, remembers me of the white album tho.
    About the tracks, White as Snow could be Every Breaking Wave's new name, if we're to trust what was on that gavin board thing, but maybe Eno yelled at them a few times so they changed it with Winter...whatever, both songs sounded great based on the descriptions, so I don't care

    Since the release has become official, people are whining that they need the cover and tracklist right now.
    Once they get them, the first reactions are "the cover sucks", "that trackname sucks", "OMG why did they leave out that track",...

    Ridiculous.


    Sorry if that didn't come clear.

    Just wait for the complete artwork, rewatch the U2.com clips and enjoy. It'll all make sense.

  6. Thanks Yeah for posting the official news when I went to take a nap. I luckily missed the hysteria.

    Cover seems good, artistic. I can't say anything about the tracklist. Tripoli or Every Breaking Wave was shelved..I don't care. I never heard the songs.
  7. It pretty rocks, all this stuff! WEW! Beautiful cover, stunning setlist.... I can't freaking wait! Bit of a bummer the single will not be available for download for a month...

    Oh and the guy who found the high resolution picture of that Fez-shot.... can you find that for this cover as well?
  8. Wow! I like that album cover a lot.. That's certainly something Eno would have done in his early days. Simple yet effective.

    As long as I hear the radio premiere of the single, I'll be more than happy to wait.


    They have 30 - 40 other leftover songs for B sides, surely they could have added an extra song and made it 12, we've waited long enough.


    Well, if these songs are long enough (six minutes and more) on average, that wouldn't work. Have you ever sat through a 78-minute album or 45-minute song? Believe me, it starts to get a bit boring.

    The titles might sound dumb but they might be great songs. United Colours sounds like a crap title but it's a great song. So does Acrobat and Levitate, but both great songs. With the work Eno has done lately (not with Coldplay but others), if he applies that to this record then it could really be something interesting...
