That's my plan too. Only have to go 1.5 hours later Hopefully someone will record it well since we cannot legally download it then.

Is there anything to say that isn't the Fez-Being Born song??

Nice to have some actual news.

This Monday 19 January at 8.10am on The Colm & Jim-Jim Show on RTÉ 2fm Dave Fanning will be the first DJ in the world to play the new U2 single 'Get on your boots' from the new album 'No Line in the Horizon'. Dave will be in studio talking to Colm and Jim-Jim from 7.30am about previous U2 albums, his relationship with the band and memories of one of the greatest bands in the world today.

From the very beginning - the first demo tape - RTÉ's Dave Fanning championed U2. When it came time to release their first single, the band visited Dave's RTÉ 2fm studio for five nights in a row in the summer of 1979.

The reason? Dave's listeners were invited to choose the A and B sides of their debut release. This was, of course the era of vinyl. When the vinyl was pressed, Dave was the first to play it.

It has been that way ever since. Through decades of era-defining albums and countless classic singles, Dave has always been granted the exclusive worldwide first radio play for new U2 material. It is what U2's manager Paul McGuinness refers to as his 'good-luck charm'.

Dave Fanning said: 'This might just be the longest gap ever between U2 albums. From everything I've heard so far, it's been more than worth the wait.'

So tune in to hear the worldwide exclusive first radio play of the song with Dave Fanning just after the 8.00am news next Monday morning on The Colm and Jim-Jim Show on RTÉ 2fm.

Nah, Fez is probably Tripoli or a new song.

But, Every Breaking Wave was billed as the album's WOWY, certainly the info from Q & RS don't suit a the title Fez-Being Born.

    8. Every Breaking Wave:

Q: Was beginning to take shape around an emotive Bono vocal and an appropriately grand swell of a climax. "We might be on to something special there," noted Bono.
A slow burning track that gradually builds to a climax brimming with passion and intensity. Bono performs a note perfect vocal that employs the movement of the ocean as a metaphor for the human struggle, before building to the plaintive line "I don’t know if I'm that strong.” Key line "Every Sailor knows that the Sea/Is a friend made enemy"

RS: A swelling soul-pop song, with bright synth sounds influenced by OMD and, Bono says, "early electronica." "You don't hear indie bands doing blue-eyed soul [like this]," he adds.
  5. @ Yeah : thanks for posting the official news !

Though i do'nt understand why there IS a line on the horizon while the title says there isn't...

About the unreal youtube clip : i was also fooled, that guy really sounds like The Edge!
A shame he isn't, would've been a great riff for the new album

BUT still i'm excited and really looking forward to the album!
It'll be great, no doubt !

Did you see the Gavin Board video on U2.com Dan? The board listed the songs, it had "...orn" and "Every Breaking Wave" as separate tracks...but still it could be White As Snow, and Winter is still left out.
