Seriously. Take this review like all other prerelease reviews. They all came from long time companions/fans of the band who are as happy as you and me to have some new U2 stuff.

We agree on that one, Crumbs was far and away the worst song on Bomb (or perhaps OSC).
Apparently he compared it to One... heresy

And hethinks that NLOTH sounds like the final album of a 00s trilogy? I was suggesting that.
Guess it's no AB breakaway then, like some are expecting, I don't mind though.

    No.

what I’m not sure of yet is whether it is the beginning of a new sequence of albums or the third in a series that began with All That You Can’t Leave Behind.

Promenade and Elvis Presley and America? I love them both.

    No, he didn't.
  4. What I like for now is the running time of the album, seems like it's a little longer than before. Three songs in front with a total time of 20 minutes? Hell, we might have gotten our longest U2 album here. What's the longest album uptill now, anyone?

It might not have hit him for months. It hasn't hit me since I first heard it. I would be rating it down there as the one song which kept Achtung away from being a masterpiece for me. The Unforgettable Fire, Pop and The Joshua Tree have no weak songs; they are masterpieces.

Drew where do u live? i need to slap some sense into you , TUF has elvis, which imo is shit, so is playboy mansion, i agree JT is perfect, but i think AB, bomb and ATYCLB r too.
EDIT: R and H, was longest, then pop.

  6. Agree here as well, AB was the only album for me that had really no weak songs.

@ Drew, I love Promenade but I dislike Elvis and America as a song, was a great experiment though.

  7. Wire, The Unforgettable Fire, Promenade, 4th Of July, Bad, Indian Summer Sky, Elvis Presley and America, MLK

If I told you five strange songs I liked by U2, you'd come over and slap more sense into me.

  9. really? Someone posted a few pages back on this topic, that before HTDAAB was released he was hailing Crumbs as the album's One. Must be mistaken.

But I could change my mind, wait till I’ve heard it in the bath a few times. One - from Achtung Baby - never hit me for months.

The only mention of that monstrosity.
