I mean maybe you think its good, but better than the other 200 or so songs they've recorded?
Are you guys EPAA fans just so you can annoy people, and start controversy?

    [..]

I don't get what you mean.

Do I annoy you because I think EPAA is fantastic tune?!

I meant that he's not sure of anything, is the record new step or it follows ATYCLB and HTDAAB philosophy and so on. Empty-talk.

I cannot imagine something like EPAA to be on NLOTH. The songs seem all totally produced and concepted to every detail possible

Dunno if this has been a question already, but is nobody afraid that it might be overproduced ?

    How would you know?

No, its annoying because they are 2 EPAA fans on at the same time, I mean what are the chances?
I must be particularly unlucky today.

But seriously Yogi, you are saying that EPAA is a top 10 tune, just to annoy me right?

OK. What would be the unexpected song of U2 you like, that you wouldn't think many others do?

  5. I'm not sure, I like the weird stuff but not the really really weird stuff like OST1 and EPAA.

Perhaps Promenade? Apparently it's even less popular than EPAA, I like it very much, mainly because of the atmosphere and visuals it evokes, and the fact that it is executed very well.

  6. I dunno really....

I listened to the 2 bad quality snippets from that radio station. I won't give a final judgement on it nor the album, but considering the time, production, song descriptions (:X )... I mean it could happen lol.

But then, many claim HTDAAB was overproduced where I think it's just FINE FINE FINE.

There you go. Promenade is another fantastic tune. I think...and no, this isn't to annoy you..October is nine or ten songs worth of excellence. A band trying to find its feet.

You need to find some of the other stuff to try out, especially if you're only a recent(ish) fan. I suggest The Million Dollar Hotel soundtrack, the original JT demo snippets, the Salome bootlegs, Passengers etc.

  8. Time to return to topic, I know when I am outnumbered (against an EPAA tag team to boot, who could believe it?)

    So back to topic then.

I don't think it will be overproduced, songs like Moment of Surrender were recorded in a single take.

(going off topic again, have to answer this one)

We'll I haven't listened to October properly yet, listened to it maybe 4 years ago.
On my to do list, maybe it will be better than Boy, who knows.

A single take for Moment of Surrender? Sounds like a similar song.

And as Nicole pointed out, this could be the bonus track for the album - from JB HiFi:

    1. No Line On The Horizon
    2. Magnificent
    3. Moment of Surrender
    4. Unknown Caller
    5. I'll Go Crazy If I Don't Go Crazy Tonight
    6. Get On Your Boots
    7. Stand Up Comedy
    8. Fez - Being Born
    9. White As Snow
    10. Breathe
    11. Cedars Of Lebanon
    12. No Line On The Horizon - (Alternate Version)

It's not better than Boy, but it's a brilliant record in its own right.

  11. I think many people were afraid of an "overproduction" when the release date was pushed back. But to speculate about that is as useful as judging the album by the track names.
I might be overproduced, it might be raw, it might be spot on.
