OK yeah, do you know of Alan Parsons? Would some of his stuff not be considered some of the greatest works of the 20th century? It's weird and wonderful at the same time.

Ah, I overlooked the 'and' between consider and some. makes sense then, sorry for the confusion.
About Alan Parsons. Yes, I'd say a lot of his work as part of the "Project" as well as his engineering for Floyd and the Beatles get a lot of praise.

Yes, that too. Alright forget the 'out-there' stuff, we'll keep it to a minimum. Otherwise this is gonna start a flame wars as you said with others (not anyone who's posted here yet).

Please tell me you're kidding. But then we'll disagree on what was good and what was not, so the reviews become irrelevant.

No reviews, U2 and these forums already take up a good quarter of my day.

Drew we should sticky all the rules, before the floodgate starts.

@Yeah we aren't discussing songs/albums from other artists,

We stick to this definition (from Wikipedia) and so instrumentals aren't fair game.

Wikipedia? But that's an official definition - so I guess we stick to it. And if people aren't sure, hit the Songs link above and you'll see them all.

Believe me Drew, that's as correct a definition as you're going to get. I am sure many people have spent numerous hours debating that definition on Wikipedia, before arriving at that.

  5. Buddy I was answering a question. Nothing less, nothing more.

    Alright. I trust it.

No worries. Lyndon, I was the one who started the discussion about the classic albums and mentioned Alan Parsons. Therefore, yeah was replying to my post.

Sorry, yeah. And may I ask how old are you?

I also think we should exclude free verse stuff, as that's more like poetry instead of songs.
So no Drunken Chicken or Beautiful Ghost.
  8. Just stick to studio album tracks and you have a category to go by.

That too, though I may bring up discussion of Beautiful Ghost at some time as I think it's brilliant.

Sorry, yeah. And may I ask how old are you?

Is that relating to the kinds of albums I listed up there?

  10. I guess, but standalones & notable B sides like Sweetest Thing, Party Girl, LWTSS, Electrical Storm, Window in the Skies etc are fair game. And no OST1 not a U2 release.

Drew you should edit your OP to incorporate the rules.

  11. I like Song's of Experience too, haunting, but let's leave free verse out. It would make for easy targets, just like instrumentals.

I think you're the same age as me, actually I was asking Yeah that question.

    Done.
