    Lemon is classed as that. This has got off to a wonderful start.

    Lemon is partly epic, but other adjectives describe it better, so use them as the main descriptor instead.
    And the discussion shouldn't be on semantics, I just meant that people should try and describe the song they are attacking/defending accurately.

    Conceptual, idealistic, vision, thought, inspiration, imaginative, ironic...some words I'd use. The whole video, which you absolutely have to see to know this song better (one of a few) is a concept in itself with the sentences at the bottom and being done in black-and-white and only selected colours.

    Ok, Drew, this is outside the scope of this thread, let others take note that this is not where the discussion should go. (were giving you an example of what not to do).

    With that in mind:

    I like Lemon, it's one of my favourite U2 songs, what about you Drew?
  7. These are the hands that built America is an epic for me too.... just as The Fly and Zooropa. Although it's a different kind of song. Oh and Lemon is a work of art too.

    Hands That Built America, is definitely an example of an epic song, not sure about the others though.

    Remember the title: U2 songs you like / dislike. Just write a reason or three why and that's that, then we see where we go from there. Easy.

    Just the operatic part in Hands That Built America is stunning. I noted it in my Member of the Month interview that I love the song.

    Well, this will be a fairly boring topic until we get some conflict, maybe Yeah can help with the criticism.

    Anyway I'm off to bed, so I'll see what happens tommorow.
