1. When I click on "Enter site" i get the same shit..."nolineonthehorizon"...

  2. U2 are my favourite band, no question. If I wanna stick some music on, I generally turn to U2 first - if not, it'll be Coldplay, Runrig or something else. Funnily enough....

U2 aren't my life, but musically speaking they more prominent than any other artist - I don't have over 300 live recordings in my music library for any other band lol. That's not to say I believe everything they do is pure gold (as is the same for everything else in my life), but it was primarily U2 that reignited my interest in music, so in a way I'm grateful to them for helping bring music back into my life.
  3. Sweet post Remy
I honestly think that U2 opened me up to the world, and not just the music world, but the world in general, I may not agree with them on everything they say (religion mainly ) but I do know that without them I may not be in touch with my feelings as much as I am now. That probably sounded cheesy lol, but it's true. Without our boys, I may be really lost, but I think I can make it through this crazy world, as long as they're playing in the background

  4. Bono accusing religion of getting in a way of god, or what?

  5. Oh no, that they believe in religion is the thing I don't understand, but hey, they seem to benefit from it, so I let it go Although, if there is a God, than there are lots of religious people who do the opposite of what he/she/it wants. I don't want to start an argument or anything though

same here, I'm not a believer but thatz a thing I find so great and interesting about this band: they are not really straight in-your-face (hope I could express is the way it's intended) about the fact that they believe in God. They let room for your own interpretations. I mean, when Bono sings songs like "40" or "I Still Haven't Found" and such, I don't feel like he's praising God and wants to convert me. There's this optimism and hope that make you feel that there could be something, whatever that is. Oh well, whatever!

Exactly, they aren't jerks about it, I admire that
  8. I too, actually Love U2. They are the only band that can actually figure themselves into me, and my life. U2 are the soundtrack to my life, always playing in the background. Most of the time, it's not even the music that connects to me. It's things like "ZOO TV" or something, the concept of it, and things like that. They have even effected lifestyle things such as how I act, and dress. If it were sociably acceptable, I'd wear a golden suit and horns everyday. How I think, is even connected to U2. It's kinda wild to solve an equation by placing it in the background on the ZOO TV screens, as they play The Fly. They have definitely effected my religious beliefs too. My entire life, I was Christian. But when I started listening to U2, it was wild to actually know what Bono meant in One, with the line "Have you come here to play Jesus? To the lepers in your head". They also offer an alternative to the world, with ZOO TV and POPMart. With the belief that you can escape life by living in the fantasies. It's quite fun to do every once in a while. I cannot imagine my life without U2, I would be a completely different person.

Sorry that was so long lol .
