1. The barcelona thing has been mentioned a couple of times now hasn't it?

  2. No, just once. It comes from a German fan who met Paul McG at Coldplay's gig in London.

But there was also this italian girl talking to Adam and Bono in Dublin where End of June and Spain were mentioned.

  5. from @U2

A Venezuelan newspaper reports that U2 will visit Venezuela later this year to perform a benefit concert, be honored with a statue in their likeness, and meet with the country's controversial president, Hugo Chavez. The U2 news appears near the bottom of this Spanish-language article, which @U2 reader Isaac S. has translated for us as follows:

Boulevard of Rock: The governor of Anzoategui State Tarek William Saab, a rock fan, who opened already a square with a Bob Dylan statue in front of Ferry´s Terminal in the capital of the state Puerto La cruz, is now prepared to receive the Irish rock group U2. They will offer a free presentation of rock in the Football Stadium of the capital city.

Bono and U2 will come to Venezuela to give a free presentation, and then will reunite with Chavez.

The band front-man, Bono, who recently started to write for the New York Times, will present all the popular songs of U2 and will include new songs like "Tripoli" and "Cedars of Lebanon", songs of the new album No Line On The Horizon. Bono will deveal his statue in the boulevard of rock and will reunite with president Chavez.

Another reader, Juan Carlos A., tells us the visit is rumored to happen shortly before U2 starts its world tour this summer.
