1. I agree that it wasn't pre-recorded. You can tell with Edge's guitar around the second chorus of COBL. And, the end of Pride. Anyway, COBL definitely wasn't pre-recorded, the guitar sounded different, as it should have being on a LP. And, the third chorus only had two "Oh you look so..."
  2. thanks a lot Yeah!!!
  3. I didn't found Bono annoying. I think it was great. Now up to February 18th.
  4. Well..I watched it in a lively houseroom with people chatting loud, but what I could hear from it:

Pride sucked, as it did every year since 1985. Bono was in his mood with his 'dreams' and so on. I can understand that they chose Pride, because it was the perfect setting, but the ruined it. Please, skip it on the tour!

COBL was allright, Bono wanted more enthusiasm coming from the crowd, but without a lightshow and 200.000 people standing in the cold with not every soul being a U2-fan won't help Bono getting that enthusiasm. I can't say if there was a taperecording supporting them. Hope not.

The whole show was one big American cheese-party. Nothing wrong with that, but I won't see this in Holland or any other European country (perhaps the French).

  5. one can find negative things in every performance, show or appearance, you only need to search for them. nobody is perfect, and everyone sees things from a different point of view. we are one, but not the same.

so.... having read the last comments here, I can only repeat that I loved U2's performance. For me, it was beautiful. I have waited so long to see them again on stage, and they looked so happy when they played, and they looked so good, I had a great time while watching and listening. Just saying. Sometimes, you don't need more. Soemtimes, the moment is all that counts, and this moment was beautiful. For me, it was.

Now go on with your criticism, everyone, it's alright

  10. Erm, sorry to be a pain, but can someone just give us a brief lowdown on what actually happened lol? Like, I gather COBL and Pride were played, but I mean why is everyone saying "why Bono, why?" - what did he do?
