2001-10-10 South Bend.... one of the versions ever, which is described perfectly in the quote.

Also... the Fly 2001-06-06, another diffinitive moment of U2's career

SBS from 1987-11-08, but from R&H. Bono's fuck the revolution speech, and also fantastic singing.

All I Want Is You from the Slane DVD..... Bono is just such in the moment, right before Streets starts. It's although he is calling out for his dad.

Kite also from Slane.... Perfectly done, also emotional.
  9. There is now a new highlightmix on the site

Kepp posting new tips in this thread!
  10. alot of my friends (who aren't really die hard U2 fans but know alot of their songs) have been saying how good Bono's voice sounded at Barrack Obama's thing or that they never knew Bono had such a good voice... In my opinion Bono really found his voice on the 5th leg of the Vertigo Tour!! He really hit some big notes and sung the songs perfectly!! Even throws in some perfect reverb when he needs to that he never used to do!! The tellin point of this for me was when he sings Streets from DEC 4th from Saitama and also Kite from Melbourne 19th NOV when he sings the "I'm a MMMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAANNNNNN!!" part... Absolutely stunning!! Was never ever that good at any other point on the Vertigo Tour IMO...

    Thoughts??

  11. and i was one of them in the crowd

I think it's a widely agreed point that his voice was the best on the 5th leg, especially in Saitama. I reckon the 8 or 9-month break didn't hurt. I still don't think it's anywhere near 1987-1993, but the Mandela birthday bash stood out for me recently. I've got good vibes about next tour. GOYB sounded good too, a good range. Has he quit smoking?
