    Another point I agree with. I was about to say that I agreed with the point that Bono made about it not sounding like anything they'd done before, but then I realised that I was in fact completely contradicting myself lol.

    TO ME (can't emphasise that enough), It feels fresh, partly 'cause it is entirely new material (unless you listened to the beach clips lol...) and also because, while there are elements of previous material and influences, GOYB (as an example) suggests they've turned a page in the U2 story without necessarily starting a new book. It doesn't sound like anything new in the grand scheme of music, but for U2 I get the sense that we've got something to look forward to with some optimism. I think GOYB is a funky and exciting piece of music - whether it was the best choice for a new single, we'll have to wait and see, but it's got my 'taste-buds' going.
  3. I'm not sure if anyone has said this so far, but the song borrows from Love You Like Mad as well -- especially the "hey, hey, hey's" at the ending. Indeed, that part they lifted straight from Love You Like Mad. I loved the bridge in LYLM. Not so much this one.

    Hmm yeah it got some similarities but GOYB is a much heavier song. Maybe this song is what U2 needed to get into a new direction... And than people will like or they will hate it.

  11. Had a look on ebay there now. The Boots promos are popping up rigtly. 50 plus is pricey though. I shall see.
