1. Is there a live version where Bono (possibly accompanied by the Edge) sings "one" powerfully and repeatably towards the end as in the version of "Mary J Blige feat U2" as displayed at 3:35 in the video below?

In a topic (as usual) prematurely closed, I already brought this to question, and a few people answered: "no - there is not such a version".

However, I noticed that an ending similar to this can be seen in the U23D cinema film, and I was thinking if there could be more end-vertigo performances of One such as this one.

    Does anyone know about this?
  2. It generally ended most of the Vertigo show One's, replacing "do you hear me coming lord" to finish the song, Its clear on the Chicago DVD, or at least a finish very similair
  3. You already started your maths. You just need to finish it.
  4. Just for the record, the fact that it is "MJB feat. U2" pisses me off. U2 wrote it, and allowed her to sing it with them, while they played all the music. They have brought the song on 4 tours already before that as well. it should be "U2 feat. MJB". Uk fuh

I wouldn't let it get to you Nick, there are far worse things in life to be concerned about - plagues, natural disasters, global warming, food poisoning, the credit crunch, price of fuel, what to have for breakfast etc...

I know, but it's just small things like this that get to me lol. Ohh, I'm so mad I could just blog about it! kidding lol.

    [/sorry, still off topic ]
  7. I have never actually listened to MJB 'rendition' of the song, should I listen to it? Would i just be torturing my hears, and affect my like of the song?

BTW that Chicago Vertigo Tour performance of One, doesn't really have Edge singing One 'repeatedly and powerfully' at the end (which I was eager to hear), it sounds like Bono singing "Coh-oh oh o oh oh" etc. (at least it does on Youtube)

Instrumentally, it's fantastic . MJB's voice is just annoying though.

It was closed for a reason. Do not question.

Do this stuff yourself. Enough people have advised you how and where to find this information.
