1. These new leaks are obviously bogus, unlike that the 30 second guitar clip from Grand Avenue which really did sound like something from the Edge.

And what's the story behind bonus tracks? Why do only some countries get them? Do they think having more tracks will help the album sell better in countries outside the US?

And I really hope the bonus track isn't an alternate version of NLOTH, I mean it's already on the GOYB single replacing a proper b-side, as well as being on the album.

couldn't disagree more.....not one for ambience?
  3. If i get an alternate version of NLOTH as a "bonus" track when i buy the album i will feel as though ive been violated by the band, if they wana f their aussie fans over by giving us a remix that could be on the GOYB single then that jb hi fi list looks accurate. Where will i be able to Download the other bonus songs from?

Agree here, 4 years is enough time for them to fill up a CD, without resorting to padding it out with remixes (that are going to be on the single - in place of actual b-sides - too boot).

Maybe the UK will get the same Bonus track as well?

Do you think "violated" maybe a bit overstated. Breaking and entering is a violation of a person. Rape is a violation of a person. U2 adding a bonus track that is a mix rather than a new song is not a violation. Perspective, folks!

The new album is going to be great, my gut tells me.

I don't think he means violated in that sense, I think he means something like ripped off (and i agree)
Oh by the way, i had a dream last, and in my dream i showed a guy a clip of Edge playing (acoustically) a bit of a new song, and from what i can remember it sounded pretty amazing

yep i feel ripped off to get a remix, ive waited 5 years like everyone else, and a remix doesnt cut it for me, is there much of a difference being being ripped off and being stolen from? anyway the album will be great but id rather see a fast cars kinda thing then a remix, wouldnt u feel ripped if we got a vetigo remix, i mean a NLOTH alternate version will be ok, like getting native son on Bomb would be ok.

There is a huge difference between being ripped off and being stolen and a remix as bonus track.

But keep it simple - just don't buy the album. Especially with this news:

Universal New Zealand have just received details on the NZ release of U2's new album, No Line On the Horizon, and the first single, 'Get On Your Boots', and have passed them on to U2 New Zooland.

Radio station The Rock debuted 'Get On Your Boots' this morning and had an excellent reaction. The single's video is due the first week of February.

The NZ Standard CD will have a bonus track, a remix of the track 'No Line on the Horizon' - we share the bonus edition with Australia and Japan only. That's a total of 12 tracks on the Standard (one more than is listed on the press release).

  9. Meu caro,
