I'm keeping my fingers crossed for country-disco.

Country-disco! Now I'm thinking of a Dalton Brothers dance mix, or Keith Urban with some heavy beats.
I like Trance-Dance-Space-Rock-Pop-Soul-Funk-Punk. European beats with lots of sounds and radio-friendly acoustics with some James Brown-inspiration, back to the early days of punk.
Either that, or it could be like Pump It Up, or Venus-punk-rock.

TDSRPSFP! Brilliant. I believe we may have officially classified NLOTH. Close thread.![]()

Is it simply "Rock" or "Alternative" ?
Get On Your Boots is obviously dance electronic music. Why is it classified as rock?
I am kinda confused by U2 albums. In itunes, it classified Zooropa, Pop and AB as Rock. Shouldn't they be alternative? They don't sound like the typical rock music.
And also, why did everyone classify Coldplay's Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends as Alternative music while U2's The Unforgettable Fire as Rock?

Now we wait for the conversations to be overheard in the record stores and in the streets.
Person: "Heard that new U2 record yet?"
Person 2: "Oh yeah, No Line On The Horizon?"
Person: "What do you think?"
Person 2: "Nice album, it's got a Trance-Dance-Space-Rock-Pop-Soul-Funk-Punk feel to it."
Person: "What? Is that even a genre?"
Person 2: "Yeah - it's the latest 2009 genre. Better than that so-called punk rock from Venus"
Person: "And that guitarist...he's on fire!"
