U2 has a lot of single mixes, which make a song shorter. Songs like Bad and Lemon could easily be edited to a shorter song. They both have a lot of the same chorusses, so just cut out some isn't that difficult.
It worked out pretty good for Lemon too:

All I Want Is You is 6 1/2 minutes.
  2. But on the single it had and edit that was 4-minutes 2 B-sides and then the album version
It was the same with Lemon. On some releases aswell as the edit it also had the album aswell

Yes, and that is possible with most song. COBL, SYCMIOYO, SIAMYCGOO (?) and Streets were all heavily edited too...still succesfull singles. So most songs could've been released as succesful singles...
  4. I didn't know stuck in a moment was edited

But I don't think Bad would quite work at 4 minutes long, it's a meandering type of song, most live versions stretch to 8 minutes or so.

Don't know that. WE might think it sounds horrible...the radio-listening crowd might think it's beautiful...we'll never know I guess

I would also have to include the B-Sides "60 Seconds To Kingdom Come," "Race Against Time" and "Alex Descends To Hell For A Bottle of Milk" as classic U2 songs that are simply unappreciated by the casual fan. These are all simply great dance songs. Off the new album, Fez--Being Born, since it is mostly instrumental, should be the next single after GOYB.

    haha

They planned to release Your Blue Room. but they didn't (due to poor record sales or weak reviews or something )
