1. If U2 were to release POP remasted edition, I would that the bonus CD consists of all the new remixes just like the recent release of Thom York's The Eraser Remixes.

It would be interesting to have a very good remix of Do You Feel Love and I Will Follow. Somehow, I love the Popmart version of IWF very much as it fits very well with Mofo.

There are plenty of songs they can put on a remaster. I'd be pretty annoyed that they just released more remixes - which they did more than enough of in the era. And live stuff from Popmart - well, that's on loads of singles and the Popmart DVD, so there really is no need for it.

    Hymn To Mr Universe
    In Cold Blood
    Super City Mania
    MMFR
    Novelty Act
If I Should Ever Lose Control
    Sparky's Left The Planet
    Nosejob
    Untidy Life
    Jesus Drove Me
    Drug
    Religious
    Big Girls Are Best
    Scott Walker
    Oedipussy
    Mothership

And the booklet could include conceptual cover designs. After seeing a few, I reckon the wider U2 community should see them too.

  3. Maybe the title should be renamed to Re-Release of Pop: What do you think? or something similar.

Plus I know of a good few All That You Can't Leave Behind outtakes for that remaster.
  4. i thought Hymn to mr universe was a working title for The playboy mansion and that Mothership and Oedipussy were also working titles for Mofo.

Wasnt Big Girls are Best released on the Stuck in a moment single too?

You're right on your first three points.

Big Girls Are Best came on the 7EP and Version 1, 3 and 4 of the Stuck In A Moment single.
  6. Holy Joe?
  7. Wasn't MHFR a working title for Mofo aswell. I would love to hear the original version of City Of Blinding Lights. In U2 byU2 Bono said it was created during the Pop Sessions but was very different from what was eventually released on HTDAAB.
  8. All this album needs is a slight touch up on the mastering board. THATS IT!!! They can keep the new mixes of the singles from POP, I prefer the original mixes.

MFFR, I think, also Mothership, Scott Walker and Oedipussy were working titles and / or demos of Mofo.

City of Blinding Lights was started during Pop as was Love and Peace, then possibly changed to Levitate which was going to be on All That You Can't Leave Behind, then changed to Skyhawk or Firefly (one or both) to be used on the Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, but as we all know ended up on How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb.

I think you're more than likely to see one of those songs in that list on an upcoming remaster. A lot of songs (Under The Weather Girls > I Still Haven't Found) do end up on remasters, because it is the same identical song to Desert of Our Love.
  10. the chances of them doing this are way less then the chances that I will win the lottery

  11. Not necessarily. Who would have ever thought the Red Hill Mining Town video would ever be released publicly?

They have to release some outtakes or something. Otherwise it's gonna be just a re-release of a fantastic album. Even just two or three of those would be amazing.
