    What do you think will happen when the album leak? We will just allow the sharing of MP3's because otherwise users would ask for them? It's on Youtube, it's on several places, please stop bitching about it because it can harm U2start. It's not your responsibility, it's ours and according to the house rules and according to what U2.com did to several sources who made these files public, we are not allowing it.

    End of discussion, further discussion about it can continue in SIAM, further discussion about it in this topic can result in a warning/ban/etc.

    I think these are the singles:

    Get On Your Boots
    Crazy Tonight
    Magnificent
    Stand Up Comedy
    Breathe

    This is definitely better than HTDAAB, maybe as good as ATYCLB, AB and JT. You can hear similarities to different parts of U2's career, from the anthemic, epic sound of War, UF and JT (Magnificent, Unknown Caller, possibly Moment of Surrender after the build up) to the experimentalism of Zooropa, Passenger, and Pop (Fez-Being Born, GOYB, Cedars of Lebanon) to the soulful, classic rock sounds of the last two albums (Crazy Tonight, Stand Up Comedy). It's sort of like a cross between the best of Unforgettable Fire, Pop, and the White Stripes. Bono is back to form lyrically. I have to wait to hear the whole thing. I hope it leaks in the next week or two. The suspense is killing me. At least when the single of GOYB comes out, I can hear the title track.

    Come on. These are mearly 30 second snipppets. How can you deduce that this will be better than U2's best ever work? Thats just crazy
  8. Another thought: I think an alternate version of NLOTH at the end might make sense. Most of the songs have a typically optimistic U2 note. Maybe recapitulating the opening theme at the end is better than ending with the somber Cedars.

    Still holding out hope for a hidden track that is not yet advertised...
  9. Germcevoy: I didn't say it was "better" than U2's best ever work, just "maybe as good." I'm fairly sure, from the 30 second clips, beach clips, and descriptions I've read, that it will be better than Atomic Bomb. That's all. But we'll see in a few weeks.

    I concur, there are still three songs which we still know little about how they will sound from those clips (UC,MoS, & Fez), and the rest may have problems with their execution.

    Some people are setting themselves up for disappointment it would seem.
    Better than Bomb, it probablyl will be, but as good as AB?
