1. Indeed. I was not inspired when I listened for the first time to Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby.... so I hope that's a good sign.

  2. Interesting find

Kinda reflects what I think we could be in for - a potential grower instead of an instant (and possibly shortlived) hit. I say potential, 'cause it might not grow, it could just be a damp squib, we just can't be sure.

The other thing I wanted to say - the intro. to NLOTH; did anyone else think of Ultra-Violet live?
  3. for me U2 albums ever hardly set in after the first listen. I got JT and Achtung when i was young mind you, but they definitely took time. I think the best albums and artists do take time, they make you work for their art

JT is the only U2 album that instantly took me (although maybe October too, now I think of it). AB took a bit of listening but is now my favourite album. There's only a few other albums that took me instantly (Amazing Things by Runrig and Absolution by Muse spring to mind), but I'd love it for NLOTH to really grow on me.
  5. That last review is probably my favorite yet.
  6. listening to these clips again....this album definitely seems like a grower and doesn't sound like anything they've done. the songs sound complex and honestly have me scratching my head, which i can only hope is a good thing. only 3 more weeks to go

  7. A pattern emerges: the worse the title, the better the song.

Best line I've read yet lol.
  8. I'd guess a full album leak is coming any day now

  9. probably not unrealistic. i'm still gonna abstain from hearing full tracks til i get the album

  10. I was gonna do that but if it leaks now I will have a listen. Because I heard the snippets, it's not that new anymore.
