    Five Nights with Letterman

The band will be guests on the Late Show with David Letterman on Monday March 2nd... and then again on the Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Coinciding with the worldwide release of No Line on the Horizon, it's the first time a musical guest has performed an entire week on the CBS late night broadcast.

Monday, March 2-Friday, March 6 (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Deserves a special topic. Will we hear all songs live in March? What a great thing!
  2. Wouldn't that be something.

And guaranteed to have Bono telling us about a band from the north side of Dublin too.
  3. Two songs each night? Could be on the cards. What a way to launch an album.
  4. so it's gonna be the Letterman Boots tour

  5. And I love it Special way to promote a (hopefully) special album!

  6. It could be the first time since Boy that the whole album is played live. Not only would you have the album, but you'd have the live counterpart almost immediately.

From what we've heard so far, all these songs can be played live - unlike Bomb. So when Bono said there's 11 reasons to leave your family in 2004, he may mean No Line are those 11 reasons; and not only would it be that, more than likely we'd get info about the tour.

Where is Letterman filmed? New York City? There were rumors that U2 would be playing a small promo show in New York City - this isn't small, but it confirms the rumor.
  7. I agree. It sounds awesome. And indeed, if I listen to the snippets ( ) it sounds like they can alle be played live.

It is filmed in NYC in the late afternoon, so they could tape the show, and have all night to do some small gigs. Exciting to think about!

Sounds like NYC is the place to be in the beginning of March....
  10. I wonder if they will do some sort of comedy skit like they did when on Conan O'Brien.
