1. I like it, a lot.It would have gone over well as a single because it is more straightforward, and conventional

  2. 6.5 (maybe 7) for Boots.

Bono's vocals are a teeny bit all over on this one. Nice song though
  3. I don't like it that much. I think I will prefer the album version, the 50 seconds we all know sound much better than this. Too weak for me. But I damn like the guitar job, and Adam is ALL OVER the song... Bono sings too high (will he manage to sing this -decent singing I mean- night after night? doubt it), maybe 2 or 3 steps below would be OK... Anyway, 7/10 for me

    I want the ALBUUUUUUUUUUUUUM...

I though it was him, as well. Don't know what he sounds like though, anyone else noticed?

  5. thought it might have made it to Youtube by now :-(

Pretty much the same instrumentation on loop over and over again which makes it seem very long...

Are we sure that this isn't Until the end of the world 2?

I agree with Yeah, listening to it again without all the excitement. He sings too high (beyond his current abilities) and sounds breathless and strained in the later verses, so you can hardly make out what's he's singing.

He is never going to be able to sing that regularly live, he can't even do Boots properly.
Some were suggesting that the 'oh whoa whoa whoa oh' wolf howl thing will be prerecorded like 'oh ohs' in live Elevation performances.

And the instrumentation does get a bit repetitive and makes it seem long. And the wolf howls sound 'sillier' in NLOTH2 than in 1 judging from the preview clips, as he sings slower.

And interestingly, unlike Boots, the chorus is better than the verses in this song. This or the album version might have made a better lead single than boots, it's definitely much funkier, no hint of leftovers from HTDAAB unlike Boots.

However Boots is more varied compared to this version, anyone know if the album version of NLOTH is more varied and less repetitive?

I think NLOTH1 will be better. But already it is a very different kind of song, reminds me of Boy mixed with AB/Zooropa.
  7. It's a funky little beast isn't it, wasn't too sure when i heard the 30 second snippets of this track, and it'll be the same with every track, NLOTH2 is great and quite refreshing.
  8. ok and tell me if im wrong

The Fly+Until The End of The World+utraviolet=NLOTH. lol

  9. Wrong

I'ts just about completely Lady with the spinning head
  10. touche~ and welcome to U2 start...that was a great observation!
